Funciones

1.Drive process control innovation in collaboration with our process control team, and with plant operations, maintenance, and management. Recommend and implement suitable software solutions and automation systems.

2.Provide key support in assisting R&D and Production in systems design for new processes and products, including selection of sensors and instrumentation devices.

3.Research and recommend machine control upgrades to address outdated controls. Determine if resources allow for work to be done internally or work with external companies to generate a scope for the work, determine cost, and complete the upgrades.

4.Provide support to logistics and production to implement new products.

5.Assist operations department and quality department in determining root cause solutions to various plant problems.

6.Manage Capital Investment Projects, coordinating the work of external contractors, and Maintenance, Production, IT, and Logistics teams as necessary.

7.Work with the Maintenance Manager, Supervisors, and EHS to analyze and propose solutions for recurrent failures in the plant process; prioritize the root cause and corrective action of these issues.

8.Provide key support for computer-control systems interfaces and design used for production monitoring, data collection and analysis to design/build process improvements, and regulatory compliance.

9.Update loop sheet drawings for Process Improvements and Capital Projects.



  1. Use SAP to enter Purchase Requests and help Purchasing set up new vendors as necessary. Follow-up on these requests ensuring Purchase Orders get to the right people, working out any logistical hurdles for deliveries, and assisting Purchasing and AP to properly finalize each PO and pay our vendors.

  2. Run Management of Change processes for investments and process improvement projects. Provide project timelines when requested.

  3. Support departmental and Plant KPI's, as required.

  4. Identify, develop, and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality, and delivery targets.

  5. Ensure safe working procedures are practiced at all times by employees. Employees must fully understand and accept that safety is each own persons' responsibility. Safety is a condition of employment. Insist on strict adherence to safety standards and ensure good housekeeping across the department at all times.

  6. Perform other similar duties or serve in other similar capacity as may be determined by Company management.


Requisitos

  • Undergraduate Degree in engineering highly preferred, in lieu of a degree 5 years of prior engineering experience acceptable. (Mechanical Engineering with supplemental training in task specific areas)
  • Experience: 3+ or more years of experience working in industrial manufacturing or chemical processes

o The Senior Process Controls Engineer must have 7+ years of working experience in industrial manufacturing or chemical process.

  • Interested candidates would benefit from prior experience of fundamental understanding of piping systems; machine design; trouble shooting of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems; data collection systems; codes and standards; industrial ventilation systems, GMP's

  • Skills in overcoming challenges and identifying opportunities for improvements

  • Technical knowledge and practical experience in solving process controls engineering issues

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills

  • Strong technical problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to influence groups without having supervisory responsibility

  • Strong computer skills

  • Ability to apply fundamental engineering and business principles

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
