Who You Are

You are a data-obsessed Product Analyst eager to be an early member of a growing data team. You are highly proficient at analyzing customer behavior on websites and are excited to build foundational datasets and dashboards to drive product, design, and marketing decisions. You are especially interested in A/B testing and experimentation, Product Analytics, and Marketing Analytics. You are excited to wear many hats, and collaborate cross-functionally to answer a variety of business questions. You are comfortable using a variety of data technologies, especially SQL, Google BigQuery, Looker, Segment, and Google Analytics and are excited about learning new skills. You are an exceptional conceptual problem solver and communicator who can translate business objectives into analyses and effectively synthesize takeaways to executive-level management (including C-Suite). You are excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment, you can think on your feet, and you can adapt quickly to new + emerging business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Experimentation Analysis: Lead our analysis of A/B tests on our website. Design dashboards that allow us to better understand how our customers are interacting with the site and how we can improve their experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven recommendations to drive decision-making.

  • Product Analysis: analyze customer behavior, build dashboards, and advise the Data and Engineering teams on how to better track customer activity. Work hand-in-hand with product managers to track and analyze KPIs for product initiatives.

  • Data Modeling: use dbt to design data models to support our experimentation analytics and product analytics.

  • Conversion Rate Optimization: Work hand-in-hand with product managers, the marketing team, and 3rd party agencies to continuously improve website conversion rate

  • Cross selling and upselling: Mine insights from user behavior to determine patterns in purchasing affinity across various product types and drive increased AOV and LTV

  • Cancellation Analysis: Analyze cancellation and reactivation behavior to inform churn reduction strategy and encourage prior customers to restart their subscriptions

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, with strong preference for Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Product Analyst with at least 1-2 years of experience in data modeling, business intelligence, and/or database management. Significant previous experience as an Analyst or similar analytics-minded role is a strong advantage. Experience with E-Commerce is highly preferred. Experience with dbt and Analytics Engineering is a plus.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL

  • Expertise in Looker and LookML for dashboard development. Experience with other Business Intelligence tools is also acceptable and desirable.

  • Experience with data warehousing and familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, esp. Google BigQuery.

  • Proficiency with Segment and Google Analytics

  • Experience leading A/B testing analysis and designing experiments

  • Not required, but preferred:

  • Comfortable with using dbt for data modeling and transformations

  • Experience using Google Tag Manager

  • Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets, draw insights, and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities with a passion for addressing business challenges using data-driven approaches.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Continuous Learning: A self-motivated individual with a curiosity to stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in data and analytics engineering.
