Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Product Analyst will be a part of the U.S. product team is currently 3 members and the team focused on the following areas:

Product Strategy & Development

  • Forward-decision making (Data and Resource Planning)
  • Go to Market - Product Development and Success Tracking (How to launch and align)
  • Product Lifecycle & Vehicle Management

Product Communication and messaging (internal & external messaging)

  • Advanced Sales Training/ Pitch Decks, RFP Content and Presentations (How the sophisticated story is told)

  • Product Content/Competitor Book/Product sheets insights and perspectives

  • Competitive Intelligence, Positioning points.

What will you do?

The Product Analyst will support the team with...

  • Lead product projects in partnership with senior product resources in areas of innovation, product positioning and product management

  • Create competitive analysis of RBC GAM institutional investment capabilities relative to their respective benchmarks and peer groups; including product positioning and designing for the right to win

  • Generate industry trend analysis for US markets and client channels

  • Business case development for several product initiatives: including new fund/product proposals, pricing proposals, product positioning, etc.

  • Collaborate across several areas of business strategy: including sales and marketing, product innovation and pricing

  • Contribute to product training sessions for client facing team members; focusing on positioning and differentiation.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Working effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Confidence and initiative to take on responsibility and manage your own projects

  • Desire to develop working knowledge of investment philosophy, investment strategy, portfolio construction, risk guidelines, policies and legal structures of relevant products

Nice-to-have

  • 5 years of experience in investment management

  • Knowledge of investments or investment analysis a plus

  • Track record of managing successful project teams with matrixed reporting lines

  • Securities licenses (7, etc)

  • CFA or progress toward
