Our Commercial Lines Product Management team is seeking a Product Analyst. This is a full time, exempt role. This is a hybrid or remote opportunity.

POSITION OVERVIEW: Our Commercial Lines Product Management Organization is seeking a Specialty Product Analyst who provides leadership, support, guidance, and expertise to facilitate the development, maintenance, and implementation of product development in Commercial Lines. This Product Analyst roll will specialize in the Professional Executives lines, focusing on Professional Liability (including Healthcare Professional Liability). Product Analysts are responsible for multiple larger projects and accountable for reporting on and delivering progress within Line of Business/Product functions. Successful Product Analysts will possess subject matter expertise, intellectual curiosity, originality, and ingenuity to execute on assignments.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Demonstrate basic business acumen, which includes LOB and/or system knowledge.

  • Responsible for new regulatory case review and determination of appropriate actions.

  • Assist and support Product Managers during the Product Development Life Cycle, from the business & functional requirements phase to Product release including concept, scope, specifications, prioritization, product architecture, implementation, user acceptance testing, quality assurance, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Maintain working knowledge and understanding of the insurance product lifecycle (PLC).

  • Develop business requirements for form implementation for aligned LOB, as well as automation, testing, execution and defect resolution processes and strategies.

  • Be responsible for low complexity form drafting, including creation of the State Amendatory Endorsements and product/structure/process.

  • Handle low complexity form objections from state departments of insurance.

  • Collaborate on developing solutions and action plans to address opportunities related to projects and products.

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 3-5 years of casualty insurance experience preferred; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, and SharePoint.

  • Experience with Professional Executive Lines of Business preferred.

  • Demonstrates understanding of coverages/forms in one or more Casualty lines of business.

  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of Business Insurance.

  • Excellent oral and technical writing communication skills.

  • Strong ability to influence strategic decisions that support corporate goals.

  • Superior interpersonal skills which align with Hanover's CARE values.
