Flint Hills Resources is seeking a Product Analyst to join our Product team, partnering closely with FHR capabilities to deliver on roadmaps that transform work processes through leverage of technology and data. The goal of FHR's business-focused technology roadmaps is to create competitive advantage through industry-leading data and information management strategies and leverage of data to automate decision making.

FHR IT Product teams maximize return on investments in technology through an intense focus on solving business problems and optimizing total cost of ownership. This role offers hybrid flexibility and will be based out of our headquarters in Wichita, KS. We invite you to apply for our Product Analyst role and join our Product team!

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, architects, and other relevant capabilities and stakeholders to understand business objectives, customer needs, and user behavior to inform product strategies that enable business transformation.

  • Partner with the business to capture, analyze and document user stories to be leveraged by the Product team and other IT Capabilities to deliver technology to achieve business objectives.

  • Ensure quality of product releases and deliverables through execution of risk mitigation strategies, including creation of test automation scripts, creation and execution of test cases, and regression testing. Coordinate with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing.

  • Leverage problem solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Coordinate execution of work across various IT capabilities. Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills through effectively highlighting to business partners and IT teams on status, risks and roadblocks, and aiding team members in overcoming obstacles.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business or Finance related field OR 1+ years of experience working in a technology-focused role

  • Initiative, natural curiosity, strong communication skills, and an aptitude for fast-paced learning

  • Experience working in a team to solve problems

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree in either MIS, CIS, CS, or similar degree

  • Experience working within AGILE Teams and DevOps methodologies, processes, and tools

  • Experience working with structured query languages (Cypher, SQL or VQL)
