Our client has an immediate need in their Downtown Los Angeles office for an experienced and results-driven Temp Product Analyst. This position will assist in product development and delivery and will serve as an IT representative to Department stakeholders to help translate business needs into actionable projects ready for execution and delivery teams.
The ideal candidate will have a consultative and human-centered background with prior demonstrable experience delivering complex business solutions encompassing IT, security, user experience, customer service, insights, and analytics.
The candidate must be comfortable simultaneously interfacing with stakeholders while driving completion of specific deliverables that will require pulling resources from multiple departments and external vendors.
Advanced self-organization, transparency, reporting, communication and accountability skill sets are a must.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Act as IT liaison to Departments, with close knowledge of their customer and product needs;
Work with Departments as to capture incoming requests and translate into actionable projects;
Represent IT during project planning phases, define scope, project charter, requirements, costs and timelines, resource needs, and vendor assessments and reviews with Steering Committee approvals;
Work with and provide thought leadership for Departments on new product ideas or feature enhancements on existing product sets;
Ensure competitive alignment within the industry and across industries by knowledge area;
Monitor metrics, stay up to date on cutting edge technologies, and anticipate Department needs;
Identify product ideas based on industry trends, current market and competitive trends; and
Monitor product portfolio to improve competitive position and optimal product performance.
4-year degree or equivalent in computer science, information / operations management;
7+ years direct comparable experience in product delivery, customer experience, or related fields;
3+ years experience using or administering Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, Service Desk, Portfolio);
Direct legal industry experience is preferred, but not required;
Certification as PMP, CSM, ACP are a plus;
Experience planning and conducting user, market, product, and vendor research;
Refined diplomatic and consultative skills to work collaboratively with Department stakeholders;
Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills to translate Department needs into project requirements;
Ability to synthesize complex or vague requests into actionable project targets and goals; and
Ability to work with project Working Groups to understand product feasibility and limitations and ensure that delivered system is properly tested and validated.
