The Opportunity:

Do you thrive at the intersection of data, product, and engineering? We're looking for a talented Product Analyst with a passion for using their technical and analytical skills to grow products.

You'll create models and projections to better understand how our products are being used, uncover behaviors, inform product direction, and measure product impact. Collaborating with our product, engineering, and executive teams, your work will impact both internal and external products. This includes, GIPHY mobile apps, native Social Media integrations, thousands of indie developer apps, our own API, and more.

What You'll Do:

  • Identify trends and opportunities to drive product growth using quantitative analysis, data mining, and data visualization skills

  • Drive data initiatives for internal KPI reporting, user growth analytics, and mobile usage in collaboration with design, product, engineering, and content editorial teams

  • Improve efforts around our A/B testing framework, content recommendation, search algorithm, monetization/ad targeting, and internationalization

  • Conduct in-depth investigations leveraging large and complex data sets

  • Inform, influence, and execute new strategies through sound analysis and impact metrics

  • Use SQL, Databricks, BigQuery, Python, Spark, and Excel, along with internal tools, to work efficiently at scale

Who You Are:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in quantitative analysis

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics or other technical field preferred (and/or relevant experience)

  • Proficiency in query languages such as SQL

  • Proficiency in at least one object oriented programming language, such as Python or Java

  • Ability to break large problems down into smaller pieces and distill that complexity into simple, concise communication

  • Passion for creative problem-solving

  • Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance

  • Highly motivated and hard-working, with the ability to think clearly under pressure both individually and in a team environment

The Product Analyst for One Client will manage day-today scrum activities with the One Client Squad, including writing and refining user stories, gathering stakeholder feedback and working with key business partners on account and client demographic data needs. Primary Responsibilities * Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create or revise user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria for data model changes * Analyze existing requirements to identify what must be changed and identify the implications for related requirements based on objectives proposed by internal stakeholders * Act as Product Owner facilitating daily scrum meetings and regular grooming/planning meetings with the Technology teams * Assist in performing ad hoc testing, as needed * Collaborate with support partners (Legal, Risk, Compliance) to ensure are changes are made in line with firm policies and procedures Required Skills / Qualifications: * Proficient with Microsoft suite of apps, including Access and Excel (building macros and managing large volumes of data) * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and translate business needs into functional and/or technical requirements * Personal initiative to find opportunities, lead change, improve processes and solve problems * Proven ability to collaborate with business data SME's throughout the organization * Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity * Must be self-directed and have excellent initiative and organization skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills Desired Skills / Qualifications: * Data analysis techniques and tools (i.e. SQL) * Business intelligence tools such (i.e. Tableau, Qlik) * Experience in the wealth management or related field is a plus.
