Samsung Product Advisor

Job Description:

The Samsung Product Advisor operates as sales manager of a premiere product line of home appliances. Primary duties will be to drive sales by providing brand advocacy, training and product knowledge to personnel and managers. Also provide subject matter expertise for products as well as "in-depth of knowledge" of discounts and purchase programs. The manager will work in an assigned territory and establish relationships with store associates and management teams to increase sales. The position plans and measures the growth and improvement of accounts through product knowledge training /demonstration and in-store sales and support.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Visit or call upon customers to promote vendor products, perform sales/support services and maintain product displays in assigned stores

  • Ambassador for the brand

  • Receive and respond to customer inquiries

  • Provide new product information including receiving customer feedback regarding vendor products and services

  • Regularly conduct training session at both store and district level

  • Answer customer sales and technical questions

  • Facilitate sales, marketing and promotional campaigns by acquainting accounts with the latest sales techniques.

  • Resolve any customer and vendor differences

  • Assist with placing special orders

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify sales opportunities

  • Build, maintain, and update customer database as required

  • Other in-store activities included Plan-o-gram integrity, marketing and product placement opportunities, inventory management, conduct in-aisle product training , and be willing at all times to engage in sales advice.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to work peak hours/days (including weekends)

  • Excellent communication, presentation, written and technical skills required

  • Must be Microsoft Office proficient

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and provide proof of insurance (must meet company's minimum requirements)

  • Provide excellent customer service to customers and vendors

  • Required to lift up to 50lbs, this may include lifting weight above shoulders as needed

  • Frequent standing, bending and twisting required

  • HS diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred

  • 2 years of vendor sales experience preferred

  • 1 year of field sales/customer service experience preferred

Who You'll Work With As part of the broader CX Product Management organization, you'll work with a collection of like-minded product managers who lead the definition of an impactful portfolio of offers covering all aspects of our customer's business. The team collaborates across functions to identify services solutions looking at cloud, software, and network solutions that transform customers' business. From traditional networking to Cloud-based solutions, the team develops offers ready for the market to consume and also develops all the accompanying pricing strategies. Who You Are You are an experienced product manager that can 1. Own the portfolio roadmap, such that CX metrics are attained (bookings, revenue, margin, ARR, etc.) 2. Own the assigned services portfolio, continuously working to validate and improve the defined services and pricing strategy, and finding critical "white space" to differentiate Cisco in the market 3. Drive effective interlock with hardware/software Product Management, early in product development lifecycles, to ensure the roadmap is understood and field feedback is taken into account 4. Actively support interlock and adoption motions for key customers 5. Investigate and understand the customer and competitive trends, challenges, and needs, and translate into a competitive service portfolio that delivers genuine business outcomes, value and differentiation to our customers; ability to predict market and customer trends. Minimum Qualifications * At least 5+ years of experience in Product Management * Proven track record of driving the development and launch of measurably successful products and/or services * Ability to assess the market and the competitive landscape and the corresponding ability to develop a strategy to address the market segments with competitive offers. * Define strategy, manage initiatives, develop business propositions, and building business plans * * Strong analytical, technical, marketing, and financial acumen; experience managing P&L and forecasting * Requires BS Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or equivalent plus 6 years relevant experience; Advanced Degree / MBA preferred Desired Skills * Strong leadership & communication skills - verbal, written, presentations, at all levels * Excellent communication skills; proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority * Leadership of cross-functional teams to address business opportunities involving not only Cisco Technical Services but also engineering, other services organizations, and partners. * Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with senior leaders. * Ability to influence and/or change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from senior management.
