Compass is looking for a Producer who will oversee production for the SoCal marketing and creative team. You will be at the center of making our creative workstream more efficient and effective by overseeing team processes, reporting, creative deliverables, monitoring client feedback, and content offerings.

You will collaborate daily with the Head of Creative & Marketing, and other regional marketing leaders to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of creative work to our agents. You will work closely with a variety of external suppliers, from photographers and videographers to production and post-production houses.

You will inspire our in-house design and marketing team around how to do things better, faster, and smarter, and take a large role in ensuring we deliver projects on time and to spec. This role will partner closely with other departments to ensure that we are delivering high caliber creative as promised for our agents.

At Compass You Will:

  • Set and oversee processes for design and content production workflows

  • Establish and maintain Marketing dashboard, and oversee reporting on workflow efficiencies and team performance

  • Manage team of Marketing Coordinators

  • Oversee design resources are allocated equally across the region to optimize efficiencies, making sure to maintain an even and fair balance of work across all offices

  • Ensure timely delivery of all assets to agents foreseeing obstacles and determining appropriate solutions to guarantee delivery

  • Oversee online production tools, including Zendesk and Workfront, and improve where necessary

  • Shepherd creative department concepts and add feedback and ideas to improve and elevate the ideas when necessary.

  • Create cost estimates and budgets.

  • Produce photo shoots and teams of freelance photographer resources.

  • Create production schedules for video and film projects with top notch storytelling.

  • Continually help develop list of potential creative partners and collaborators that can be accessed regularly to complete projects on time and under budget.

  • Oversee legal requirements for projects working with in-house legal team.

  • Liaise among different departments, agents, executives etc to create a protective buffer for the creative departments time while managing expectations around delivery.

  • Have a creative point of view on projects and be able to explain concepts, ideas and brand guidelines in a clear, friendly and convincing manner.

  • Review worker performance on a quarterly and yearly basis and keep close track of internal team development.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience managing Traffic and Production internally or at an agency.

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of creative production processes across a variety of mediums.

  • Self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative.

  • High level of discretion, diligence, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

  • Experience working within creative team and managing designers, writers, artists, etc.

  • Experience with aspects of lifestyle, design or tangential industries recommended.

THE ROLE The Festival Producer takes a key leadership role in the planning and execution of assigned festivals. The show Producer partners with the Promoter to create the vision of the brand and manage the team that is responsible for bringing the event to life. This position reports to the VP, Festival Operations and Experience. RESPONSIBILITIES EVENT CONCEPTS * Partner with the Festival Promoter to lead the festival team to produce the highest quality festivals in the industry * Responsible to ensure adequate planning and execution of all on-site production operations, staffing including: security, health & safety, box office, traffic, parking, cleaning, sanitation, VIP/Skydeck, artist compound and transportation * Partner with CAD designer to create festival layout * Create agenda and lead team in weekly Production & Operations meeting for assigned festivals VENDOR RELATIONS & BUDGET MANAGEMENT * Develop cost effective budgets by obtaining best valued vendor bids and negotiations * Partner with Promoter and finance lead to create budget and then manage all production related department heads with planning and spending per budget * Partner with local agencies in planning phase and throughout event and coordinate group all agency meetings to include these agencies and key operational leads from Insomniac * Serve as main point of contact for venue TECHNICAL NEEDS * Issue festival org chart and confirmation sheet with project manager * Manage event capacities and ensure safety and comfort of headliners are always considered while also creating best possible experience * Ensure on-site staff are adequately prepared for emergencies SITE OPERATIONS * Oversee and ensure special permits are handled for each event * Assign Pressure Point Managers for key headliner facing points to ensure best experience * Create and issue the Festival Operations & Emergency Action Plan * Ensure all on-site structures meet Insomniac safety standards * Some travel will be required (economy) QUALIFICATIONS * 5+ years' experience in live event planning and producing * Proven ability to manage teams for planning and building large-scale events or music festivals * Proven ability to develop and execute staff training sessions * Sterling reputation for excellence in the required role with at least five top notch references * Proficiency in spreadsheets * Must be motivated with an "Everything is possible" attitude. * Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small.
