TEGNA, one of the most geographically diverse broadcasters in the U.S., is seeking a passionate Manager of Talent Acquisition for our Content operations. As part of the larger Talent Team this individual will play a vital role in building an integrated talent organization and supporting broader talent integration efforts to ensure we align our talent strategy to TEGNA's business priorities.

The Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and professional expertise to designing and implementing recruiting strategies to identify, assess, and attract top candidates for our Content organization. First and foremost, this position will be focused on effectively and efficiently filling open positions in the company with high-potential talent. In addition, the Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for managing a small team of talent acquisition partners to ensure consistent delivery of end-to-end staffing process.

As the Manager of Talent Acquisition, you will partner with our Senior Leaders and Hiring Managers to develop, implement, and execute customized recruitment strategies to attract best-in-class and diverse talent for our various content roles across the organization. You will play a key role in aligning our talent acquisition activities with our broader talent strategy to support our business priorities and proactively build a pipeline for existing and future needs of the organization.

This role will be part of the TEGNA corporate team, reporting to the Director, Talent and Organization Development and can be located in any of our 51 markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own full life-cycle recruitment for content leadership roles

  • Leverage data to analyze hiring trends to proactively recommend and drive hiring plans and initiatives to meet needs.

  • Lead a team of experienced recruiting professionals who are passionate about recruiting.

  • Incorporate a diversity & inclusion strategy within our content recruiting efforts.

  • Build and maintain partnerships with key associations and college/university partners.

Education, Skills, And Experience Required (Who You Are)

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

  • 7 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, including at least 2 years as a senior recruiter

  • Proven ability aligning talent acquisition strategy and candidate attraction with the company's culture, business priorities, and strategies

  • Proven ability to manage change while evaluating current processes and driving continuous improvement

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities in parallel

  • Capability to oversee a functional area while "rolling up sleeves" and personally delivering results

  • Outstanding skills/knowledge in ATS and career/sourcing tools

  • Experience managing multiple openings at various levels and locations within the business, supporting several hiring managers concurrently

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills (oral and written)

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

The ideal candidate will be able to do multiple duties in the position. This person filling this role will be tasked with assisting production during live newscasts and other productions. Responsibilities: * Ability to adapt and quickly change on the fly for breaking news and unexpected special events. * Experience with the operation and understanding of studio cameras, ,video routers, audio consoles, teleprompter, studio setup and tear down. * Also studio maintenance and organization. * Knowledge of ENPS a plus * Execute live productions across multiple platforms * Ability to work with a team of people to achieve clean newscasts * Have high attention to detail to find and correct problems before they hit the air * Must be able to work quickly and efficiently under pressure * Must have the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once * Ability to work with a flexible schedule is a must.
