WQAD, the TEGNA ABC affiliate Moline, IL is looking for an engaging and talented anchor to join our morning news team. We are looking for a person who is a leader and can help bring great content to our viewers every morning. You will have to collaborate and work with the Executive Producer and Producers daily and be able to turn your own stories for the newscasts.
The ability to lead, on and off camera.
Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events.
Must have the ability to contribute content on a regular basis.
Must maintain multiple social media
Participate and represent the station at public events
Perform tasks required by management
Exercise good news judgement
3+ years of anchoring experience
The ability to write compelling copy and tell engaging.
Possess strong social media skills
Establish sources, utilize social listening skills, cover breaking news, and pitch unique enterprise ideas
Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
Physical Demands Set: Sedentary work: Involves sitting most of the time; walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
