We are looking for a global Procurement Specialist to support our SUSE business and enable us to operate successfully as a standalone SUSE team following the acquisition of SUSE by EQT (subject to regulatory approval).
This is one of two Procurement roles within the team, the other being a Senior Procurement Specialist and together these roles are responsible for providing procurement services to all business units globally. This involves coordinating with multiple vendors for multiple domestic and international locations. Also responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations associated with Purchasing.

Additional responsibilities for our Procurement Specialist include:-
Working with the Senior Procurement Specialist to actively manage the supply base, identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings and recommend courses of action to achieve sustainable cost reductions and performance improvements.
Manage requisitions, POs and contracts from award to completion for service purchases
Coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Perform all aspects of the procurement of services; including negotiate pricing, discounts and terms with vendors.
Resolve procedural, operational, and other work-related problems such as contract compliance and negotiation issues by coordinating with Legal, Purchasing and Information Systems departments.
Able to act as an effective cross-functional team member and comfortable being pro-active and helpful to the user community.
Able to learn of pending needs and involve her/himself early in the negotiation process.
Have good follow up and follow through abilities.
Have excellent supplier relationship management
Ability to identify the need for and create a supplier agreements contract using standard contract templates as well as working with Supplier Forms.
Continuous partnership with Supplier management, Payables and Accounting team to enable accounting and supplier relationship is maintained at a high level
Any other ad-hoc duties as and when required
Skills / Requirements
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Significant experience in a global procurement environment
Knowledge of purchasing principles, including developing and evaluating request for proposal/quote, comparing and analyzing costs, and negotiating and awarding of contracts.
Strong negotiating skills and analytical ability to identify and exploit key opportunities.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, the ability to present ideas effectively both orally and written.
Experience of working with all levels of management, building relationships easily and effectively
Strong organisational skills with the ability to successfully multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results within time constraints.
