iland is looking for an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to assist in managing the companys supply chain process for IT all hardware and software products and services which are leveraged as part of ilands global products and service offerings. The IT Procurement Specialist must have excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to act quickly, be detail oriented, and build strong relationships with all suppliers in order to ensure a smooth supply chain and life-cycle of all purchases and assets owned and managed by the company. This is a full-time remote position and reporting to the IT Procurement Manager.

Responsibilities

Procure products and services from a variety of suppliers to negotiate best pricing terms, monitor price changes, maintain pricing histories and gold images of repeating orders
Follow and provide input on company processes and policies around procurement
Understand technical differences between products and services and present to decision makers
Track when contracts & licenses expire and plan renewal negotiations far enough in advance to guarantee the best leverage in negotiating for the company
Understand capacity management and logistics to manage lead times for products
Build redundancy and diversity in supply chain by establishing multiple sources of suppliers
Gather, review and report monthly usage and licensing data to the companys various technology partners
Understand technical differences between usage & licensing types (perpetual, Pay Per Use) and how each are billed and managed
Resolve product, usage & licensing issues with suppliers and manage any disputes
Follow and provide input on company processes and policies around usage & license management and reporting
Review invoices to ensure they are accurate
Build and monitor ongoing supplier spending trend analyses to identify areas of savings and improvement for the company
Improve the international logistics capability
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Collaborate with key internal teams to improve clarity of specifications and product delivery
Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
All other duties as assigned

Requirements

The following skills represent the minimum requirements to be considered for this position:

Bachelor's degree in IT field, procurement, supply chain management, logistics, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain function.
Excellent communication skills including presentation and negotiation abilities
Excellent business application skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint etc)
Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
Experience in collecting and analyzing data, then reporting on data to decision makers

Preferred Skills

The following skills represent additional proficiencies preferred to be successful in this position:

Prior experience in managing and reporting SPLA usage to various vendors
Prior experience working in license management or other applicable accounting experience
Working knowledge of contracted IT services, such as SaaS applications, outsourced data center services, carrier services, software licensing, etc.
