JOB DESCRIPTION:Primary Function

Understand the needs and process flows in product development within, Pharma, Medical Devices, and/or Diagnostics areas. Facilitates the procurement activities for the stakeholders to bring best value for Abbott Laboratories

Applies experience and procurement knowledge to execute the purchasing and supply chain management strategies created by the Category Managers. Work with, internal stakeholders and suppliers to solve issues and drive high levels of customer service.

This role will work across multiple Divisions of Abbott. The position will be responsible for Operations and Tactical work requiring management of stakeholders' request through data base, developing master service agreements, and statements of work. The position is expected to be a subject matter expert on procurement policies and will guide stakeholders on agreement templates, preferred suppliers and cross divisional leverages. The Specialist will have delegated authority to commit company funds while contributing to cost savings in partnerships with suppliers and internal customers.

Proactively seek innovative ways to improve the procurement processes, cycle times, and customer service levels

Full understanding of the "Global Procurement Strategies". Ability to work across regions and multiple categories on strategies that bring efficiencies through synergies and positive value to the organization.

Works within defined processes and procedures and may help determine appropriate approaches for change.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • First line responder; pivots between strategy,operations and transactional sourcing

  • Execute against category strategies and work in the guidance of strategic category leaders to drive saving goals

  • Manage MSA/SOWs/RFI's/Ordering documents. Assist with supplier Identification and selection.

  • Develop insights into the divisions' areas of product development, regulatory, quality assurance and supply chain to anticipate stakeholder needs and respond with value added solutions

  • Manage day to day supply issues. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Communicates pertinent information to both internal customers and suppliers to keep apprised and to prevent problems.

  • Execute ad-hoc/one off buys

  • Support PO conversion - non transactional and some negotiations

  • Manage PO approvals - as per the delegations

  • Educate on existing solutions and enable performance and tech tools development

  • Lead resolution on issues and invoice error.

  • PO change management and communicate trends of changes

  • Enable supplier integration and KPI's

  • Collaboration with functions

  • Create and implement RFPs.

Qualification

Bachelors Degree: Engineering, Science, Business, Financial or equivalent experience. CPM certification desired 2-4 years of or Procurement experience. Functional experience. Strong people skills, strong problem solving skills, skilled in spreadsheet programs. Good communication skills (written and verbal). Good interdisciplinary, intercultural, influence, and networking skills

JOB DESCRIPTION: Position can be filled as CRA or Sr. CRA depending on experience. Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. The senior clinical research associate (SCRA) designs, implements, and monitors clinical studies of new and modified in vitro diagnostic products. Ensures that the clinical studies are designed to validate product performance claims and support the products' intended use. Prepares clinical data reviews and data summaries. Participates in the preparation of regulatory submissions and international registration packages. Manages a single large project, a more complex project, or several smaller related projects. The SCRA has established a high degree of competence in clinical research. The SCRA has obtained prior exposure to all aspects of a clinical study and functions at a proficient level of independence with a significant degree of autonomy in conducting clinical research. Main Responsibilities Actively participates as a member of the cross-functional project team. - Participates in assessing performance data generated by R&D/Business Teams prior to initiation of the clinical study. - Acquires a basic understanding of the principles of the assay and/or instrument and "hands-on" knowledge and skills in performing assigned assays or operating instruments. Serves as a consultant in a select area of expertise., Clinical monitoring responsibilities include: - Prepares design validation plans that meet product design goals, intended use, regulatory requirements, divisional operating procedures, and Clinical Research work instructions. Prepares clinical protocol, clinical brochure, case report forms, informed consents, and other required documents for clinical studies. - Identifies and qualifies clinical investigators and clinical sites. Proposes and negotiates budgets for clinical studies. Initiates payments to sites. Obtains and reviews all required essential documents necessary for study initiation. Initiates clinical studies and provides for investigator and staff training. Arranges for and assists Statistical Support with the collection and statistical analyses of clinical data. Monitors clinical studies, ensuring site compliance with the clinical protocol and ICH/GCP guidelines, assures subject rights, safety, and welfare are protected, ensures data integrity through completeness, accuracy, and legibility. Conducts pre-study, initiation ,interim, and close-out monitoring site visits and completes site visit reports. Maintains accurate and timely sponsor/site correspondence and communication. Responsibilities for preparing Clinical Research reports/presentations include: - Prepares and presents project progress reports to keep management and team informed. Reviews data, prepares and presents clinical data reviews and data summaries. Responds to audits and data queries representing a project or team.
