Procurement Sourcing Leader

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Procurement Sourcing Leader in our Columbia, South Carolina facility. Become a Procurement Sourcing Leader and join us in the journey to become a World Class Procurement Organization.

What will you do in this role? Implement the general Purchasing Strategy to drive cost reduction initiatives within the cluster. Propose and execute cost reduction projects and ideas (such as Quality value engineering, Change of supplier, Negotiation) in alignment with Purchasing strategy goals.

Maintain purchasing database by regularly updating relevant data. Assist in commodity management strategy for supplier consultation, selection, negotiation, and contract management with local/specific suppliers. Lead activities related to supply qualification system in the plant as per defined responsibility matrix.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role? Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent is required.+ 3 years of experience in Purchasing and Project Management. Experience with SAP is advantageous.

Understanding of Engineering/Manufacturing Processes is a plus. Knowledge of Supply Chain (Supplier Management, Cost analysis, Market analysis, Inventory Management, etc.). Experience in commodities like Stampings, Sheet metal Fabrication, Plastics, Electronics, etc. Proficiency in Project Management and cross-functional team collaboration.

Strong problem analysis and synthesis skills. Proficiency in Excel; Database Management skills are beneficial. We recognize that skills and competencies can be demonstrated in various ways based on life experiences.
