Innovative projects that deliver cutting edge results do not run themselves. Project and Program Management within Business Support ensure projects run seamlessly, from start to finish. Our team manages projects or leads others managing projects ensuring cross-functional teams work collaboratively and effectively. We oversee initial plans, set budgets, track project activities and communicate milestones to key stakeholders.


  • Manage key procurement programs within the Procurement Process, Tools and Governance team

  • Support key Digital Transformation initiatives such as Single Inventory and Production Procurement, Unified Cost Management and other key procurement digitization initiatives.

  • Work with key outside consultants to get outside in perspective and support digital transformation

  • Support the Business Architecture Team (BAT) at a working level to drive the procure to pay IT roadmap for FY20 and North Star.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field and 10 years + of relevant procurement and program management experience

  • Strong analytical capabilities including report development and analysis as well as making data-driven recommendations and decisions.

  • Ability to build effective business relationships internally and externally.

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical requirements across all levels of the organization

  • Executive Presence, Clear Messaging and effective communication Skills


  • MS in engineering or other technical practice
  • MBA

This Senior Manager is responsible for the commercial relationship with strategic outsourced contract manufacturing partners and will engage in development and implementation of strategic outsourcing plans. The Manager will provide thought leadership from a procurement perspective, and influence business partners to consider new and creative strategies. This role reports to the Senior Director of Procurement at Itron and will be based in Austin, Texas. * Own and lead the commercial relationship with strategic Contract Manufacturing (CM) suppliers. * Directly manage a global team of Commodity Management personnel (3-5 people) at or near key supplier locations. * Manage a robust quarterly cost process designed to accurately forecast product cost as well as capture savings opportunities to meet the organization's goals. * Track supplier inventory levels and projected Excess and Obsolete material liability. Aggressively drive mitigation actions to reduce or eliminate liability for Company. * Implement programs throughout the supply chain to drive increased supply assurance and flexibility to support forecasted demand fluctuations. * Utilize benchmarks to drive innovation and an external perspective to processes. * Support sourcing strategy designed to meet the dynamic requirements of the business and execute business awards in line with the defined strategy. * Set and achieve performance goals/metrics to improve total delivered commodity cost, quality, technology and service performance from suppliers. * Drive Business Process Improvement initiatives both internally and externally with key suppliers to continuously improve organizational processes and tools. * Organize and facilitate cross-functional executive-level Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR's) with key suppliers. * Maintain appropriate contractual agreements with suppliers to include updates to Master Agreements as well as project specific Statements of Work (SOW's). * Lead sourcing decisions for New Product Introductions (NPI's) and strategic manufacturing outsourcing projects from creation of Request for Quote (RFQ) packages, analysis of RFQ data, negotiation of best pricing and terms, and close with formal business award. Manage cross functional teams for execution of project timelines. * Be recognized as global subject matter expert by business partners, and a valued member of the team. Experience: Minimum 10 years relevant experience * Good problem solving and analytical skills * Track record of influencing a driving impact with diverse set of functional stakeholders * Consummate contract development/analysis skills * Experience managing PCBA and mechanical assembly commodities * Excellent supplier management and negotiation skills * Thorough price/cost analysis skills and first-rate financial analysis skills * Strong strategic/long-range planning skills * An understanding of risk management and its implications * Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively in a global work environment * Excellent cross-functional team leadership skills both internal and external resources * Ability to define and implement new processes and procedures Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. MBA preferred.
