Viant Medical is a medical device manufacturing operation specializes in producing Class II and III devices. We are experiencing rapid growth. As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, this individual will lead a team of four across multiple platforms. This role will have direct engagement with customers and suppliers and be responsible to report out to senior leadership and customers on the health of Supply Chain.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Procurement Manager leads a team of Buyers and Senior Buyers supporting the strategic and tactical procurement of goods and services for Viant Medical. The Procurement Manager will manage key suppliers and supply relationships, support implementation of Viant global supply programs, and support the continuous development of Procurement processes. The Procurement Manager role will be customer facing and will work often in cooperation with our customers on complex supplier programs, including price and supply negotiations. The Procurement Manager will set goals for the other members of the Procurement team and manage execution of the daily, weekly, and monthly Procurement activities within the site while also focusing on the continued training and development of the Procurement team. Clear communication will be a hallmark of the Procurement Manager role to suppliers, Viant team members, and Customers.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct Supervision of team of Buyers and Sr Buyers.
Create and implement buyers' goals in alignment with Company goals. Support company objectives, policies and priorities.
Meet or exceed cost reduction targets for direct and indirect spend categories while meeting inventory and cash flow objectives for the business
Define and monitor inventory targets for procured items
Responsible for purchasing the best quality raw materials, components, and production supplies at the lowest cost, according to established policies, practices and procedures including Viant's Target Operating Model and ensuring delivery in a timely manner to support production schedules
Establish systems to proactively reporting shortages to the Operations and Scheduling team and supporting team escalations with suppliers
Support proactive supplier capacity reviews in connection with site SIOP and program growth assessments
Responsible for maintaining strong supplier relationships; meet with vendors as necessary regarding capabilities, price quotes or production problems
Lead in the development of alternate suppliers
Champion the Supplier Scorecard and Risk Management processes within the business
Participate in corporate Sourcing initiatives as a Subject Matter Expert and site leader for program implementation
Partner with internal customers to identify, organize, prioritize and execute projects to meet global supply chain initiatives
Lead multi-functional teams with personnel from different departments, suppliers or contractors.
Implement opportunities for improvement to the ERP system and processes for integrated system solutions that support the Supply Chain Stakeholders.
Ensure the correct setup of planning parameters for procured items.
Follow all GMP and SOP's as defined by Viant Medical policies, practices and procedures to insure that FDA and ISO regulations and quality standards are met

Expert with Microsoft Office Applications (EXCEL, OUTLOOK, TEAMS, WORD, POWERPOINT)
Understands and can lead discussions and train the team on all procurement BI dashboards (PO, SCRM, Supplier Scorecard, Financial Scorecard)
