Procurement Manager

INCOG BioPharma is seeking a highly motivated individual with significant experience in procurement and supply chain practices to lead our procurement function. The ideal candidate will be an individual who works in a hands-on, collaborative fashion supporting a cross-functional, make-to-order manufacturing organization. No two days are the same, the pace of work is fast, and the opportunity for impact is high.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter, have experience in the procurement profession and be able to build great working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. They will be eager to join and support a team in growth mode, with a drive to create and influence best practices within the procurement function and the broader organization.

The Procurement Manager will be a member of the supply chain management team with responsibility to efficiently support the organization's acquisition of materials, equipment and services to deliver on INCOG's contracted business.

Essential Job Functions:

• Work collaboratively with sales and operational leadership to ensure material demand is quantified, procurement activities are planned, and materials are delivered on site to meet that demand.

• Engage, lead and develop procurement team members.

• Help manage and coordinate the full life cycle of procurement of materials from vendor sourcing and engagement to material specification setting to testing and release of materials for use in production.

• Work to minimize the impact of supply shortages:

• Identify and de-risk supply constraints by planning and securing secondary sources of supply, as appropriate.

• Ensure proper follow up on: supplier receipt of orders, acknowledgment and confirmation of those orders, vendor communication of estimated delivery times, delivery and receipt of all orders.

• Establish and continually update min / max ordering based on vendor lead times and manufacturing volume requirements.

• Ensure efficient, effective and compliant purchase-to-pay processes are in place and being following by the organization. Partner with finance to ensure proper controls on signing authority, project cost tracking and budget adherence are followed. Support financial planning efforts by forecasting spend of major categories across time.

• Manage supplier relationships through fostering partnerships with our vendors as they play a critical role in our ability to deliver good outcomes for our customers.

• Provide value to the organization through the negotiation of favorable terms and conditions and price / cost / discount negotiations.

• Continually assess established procurement practices and ensure improvements are made in support of the growth of the organization, as needed.

Special Job Requirements:

• This role is dynamic and requires the successful candidate be able to execute and lead the tactical, daily operations of the procurement department as well as be planful and advance strategic elements of the procurement function in support of the company's growth.

Additional Preferences:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, finance, operations, or equivalent work experience is preferred.

• Procurement experience in the pharmaceutical (or other regulated) industry is not required, but is a plus.
