Job Responsibilities Under the general supervision of the Director of Procurement and Risk Management, the Procurement Manager I is the team lead for training and oversight of the team responsible for strategic sourcing and procurement of Academics (Credit and non-credit and Student-Related Services) by the college's policies and the SC Consolidated Procurement Code and Regulations (Code). This position will manage the eProcurement system and oversee, support, and manage the operation of the college's SaaS eProcurement software system. This position will also assist and serve as the backup manager for the college contract review process and purchasing card process Minimum and Additional Requirements This position requires a bachelor's degree and experience in procurement and contracts.

Preferred candidate will have a bachelor's degree in related field plus minimum one (1) year related work experience. Preferred Qualifications National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (CPPB) or Institute for Supply Management APP certification is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement in either the public or private sector, preferably in South Carolina public sector procurements governed by the South Carolina Consolidated Procurement Code.

Experience with the eProcurement system is highly preferred. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and detail-oriented skills. The ability to prioritize and work well under time constraints, analyze complex situations, and recommend effective solutions is a must.

Working well under pressure and collaborating with others is also highly valued. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential. Additional Comments Applicants MUST complete the online SC State Jobs Employment Application.
