Are you a strategic Procurement professional looking to elevate your skills on the cutting edge of global energy projects? Prologis is seeking an ambitious and passionate Procurement Manager who will collaborate with key business partners both internally and externally to build more value into our European energy programs and help us build the leading energy program globally. Negotiating favorable contracts to procure the goods and services needed, this multifaceted and strategic role will be a key driver in helping to shape Prologis's path forward. The ideal candidate will have renewables experience tendering, negotiating, and executing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction evaluations and contracts to support EV, Solar and Battery Energy Storage projects.

The Procurement Manager will report to the Director, Procurement - Global Energy (US) along with partnering with key stakeholders, internally and externally, to create more value for Prologis by leveraging the Company's global scale to negotiate favorable deals aimed at accelerating the delivery of energy and decarbonized solutions for Prologis and its customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish and improve buying programs with strategic suppliers for assigned categories to aggregate and leverage buying power, consolidate and standardize items and suppliers, improve service levels and accountability, and increase compliance to standards.

  • Stay abreast of marketplace trends including key cost drivers, sources of supply, supplier health, supply chain risks (geo-political, environmental, financial, regulatory, etc.), currency fluctuations, sustainability and social responsibility requirements, and alternative products and suppliers.

  • Drive the execution of multiple sourcing projects by identifying operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly

  • Develop contingency plans; and demonstrate adaptability and support continuous learning.

  • Understand the needs of stakeholders (internal and external), jointly develop clear requirements, set and manage proper expectations

  • Contribute to shaping the direction, success, and reputation of Procurement and creating a culture of spend management within the Company.

  • Travel as needed (10%-20% domestically and internationally) to meet business objectives.

Building blocks for success

Required:

  • 5+ years of sourcing and procurement experience including supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, supplier management, program development, and stakeholder management; MBA Desired, Minimum Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain/Logistics and/or Business Management preferred).

  • Experience conducting and evaluating RFPs of renewable energy vendors and technology companies, including thorough knowledge of the competitive bid process of EPC contracts and negotiation techniques

  • Proven success reducing TCO (total cost of ownership), reducing risks, improving service levels, and achieving supplier-driven innovation for key spend categories.

  • Experience managing stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, and successfully achieving tangible results in a cross-functional, and geographically dispersed, working environment.

  • Demonstrated success managing and raising the performance of key suppliers while reducing the number of overall suppliers.

  • Leading project teams and managing the activities of others with no organizational tie to Procurement, with multiple successful projects delivered.

  • Strong decision-making skills; including the ability to make timely decisions that reflect a good mixture of analysis, experience, judgment & prudence

  • A deep understanding of energy related categories including structure of the supply chain, cost drivers, key players in the marketplace and their operating models..

Preferred:

  • Experience in the Renewables and Mobility industries, evaluating vendors and commodities such as Battery Energy Storage Systems, Transformers and Long-Term Service Agreements.

Hiring Salary Range of: $104,000-$156,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
