RHI Magnesita is looking for a Procurement / Logistics Administrator for a 6 month to 1 year contract. This position provides support to Procurement team by managing and maintaining Purchase Orders and the contracts that we need to generate from Purchase Orders, SAP "info records", "ZME1" pricing conditions used to establish savings from negotiations, supporting negotiations information needs, SAP (BI/BW) reporting and conducting market screening. Dependent on time availability for this contract person, they will be asked to develop and issue RFQ to assist with the desired need to obtain formal quotations for goods and services. This person will need to work with the End User or Project Engineer to develop preliminary information for RFQ development. They will communicate with our Stores Personnel to provide the most up-to-date pricing information and data from our suppliers. For transportation procurement business, this person would support with statistical data for annual tenders, as well as give carry out spot tenders for LTL cargoes. The ideal candidate will have procurement knowledge or experience, skills with running and reviewing reports from an ERP like SAP and intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel. This position is based in York, PA and is a contract assignment to support the integration of RHI and Magnesita Refractories Company as the global leader in refractory products and services.

Responsibilities and duties

The following is a summary of the main responsibilities of the Procurement Administrative Analysis position. Additional duties may be assigned through project work, auditing, or additional oversight of programs:

Basic Functions:

  • Create Purchase Orders from Requisitions in SAP
  • Manage of info records in SAP (Blue and Red)
  • Negotiations Updates: Reviewing/maintain/update the SAP "ZME1" Values concerning plausibility

("-", high Values,...) . This helps us show savings following negotiations.

  • Review data and develop reports to analyze Procurement activities coming from BI report data

Purchasing Functions:

  • Contracts Support: Create/Review/update/maintain purchase orders and contracts within SAP.

  • Generate RFQs or spot quotes as needed. Send RFQ to the appropriate supplier(s).

  • Support Market screening tasks

  • Coordinate with end users to develop requirements for the RFQ.


  • Create and run reports from SAP and/or BI (Business Intelligence) / BW (Business Warehouse), download relevant data, analyze data and prepare reports that support Procurement initiatives.

  • Support savings analysis by identifying synergies between RHI and Magnesita standard operating approach, existing contracts. Analyze and make recommendations for cost savings procedures.

Required education and experience

  • BS degree from an accredited institution preferably with major in supply chain, business logistics or materials management. Candidates pursuing a degree will also be considered.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including Vlookup, Hlookup, Concatenation, Pivot Tables, Data Parsing, Data Manipulations, Charts and Graph creation, how to handle relational data, etc.

  • Familiarity with relational database concepts, report creation, extraction, etc. RHI Magnesita uses SAP and Business Warehouse Intelligence systems (BWI).

Additional skills

  • High proficiency with MS Office Suite of products, specifically MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to interact with staff, suppliers and the general public in a professional demeanor.

  • Attention to detail on instructions from team members or partners.

  • Support functions for Procurement / Logistics team demands
