Procurement Engineer (Full Time)

ExpressPoint has a full-time opportunity for a Procurement Engineer in our East El Paso facility. This position works collaboratively with the Sourcing group to improve supply chain contributions to maintaining strong delivery in support of smooth operations ensuring customer satisfaction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactively identifying, selecting, and improving suppliers by negotiating best price and terms

• Maintains strong relationships with key suppliers, evaluating their performance and ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.

• Identifies and recommends changes for high-risk material or end of life components.

• Performs inventory analysis & ERP process management on inventory days of supply.

• Works closely with Production Repair Engineers to determine BOM usage rates.

• Suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.

• Continually improves the organization's overall procurement and transportation strategies to reduce cost across all key spending categories.

• Current with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting supply chain strategies.

• Unites with key stakeholders to seek opportunities to enhance the internal/external customer experience.

• Ensure timely, tactful, and respectful communication with all internal and external customers.

• Enforces all policies and procedures.

• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering

• Experience: 3+ years related experience in sourcing, engineering supply chain

• Program management skills to drive costs out

• Strong leadership skills
