What you will do

You will actively participate in the strategic sourcing activities for one or more projects/categories of spend, with the goal of helping category managers and stakeholders achieve significant cost reductions (one-time and on-going). You will work closely with category managers and key stakeholders in member organizations and in corporate functions to mine data, run advanced analytics including correlation models and predictive insights, support the development of effective cost reduction strategies, and implementation plans.

How you will do it

Coordinate the collection, analysis and reporting of data from various sources to support business partnering, demand planning, and sourcing projects

Assist in the development of strategies to allow procurement and stakeholders to use data as a tool for monitoring supplier and internal performance

Provide advice on the technologies used to support effective data capture, analysis and reporting

Work as a member of a team to develop strategies for the effective flow of data to and from various procurement systems

Contribute to the creation of materials to help procurement and stakeholders understand how data is analyzed and how it can be used

Contribute to the development and delivery of professional reports for the CPO office

Performs necessary investigation, analysis and evaluation to determine project feasibility and value

What we look for

Required

  • Professional industry experience gained from manufacturing environments

  • B.S. required

  • Advanced SQL querying knowledge

  • Advanced Power BI or other analytics tools including statistical modeling tools

  • Demonstrated experience building data models and dashboards

  • Demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights

  • Experience working with ERPs and other technology related to procurement, finance and operations

  • Experiences with third party digital tools in procurement and other functions including use of RPA, Machine Learning, other

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Strong record of analytical leadership in an academic and professional setting

In this leadership role, the successful candidate will lead a team and direct development and execution of the annual material cost and savings plan, represent the requirements of the Chillers business in the development of global category strategies, drive implementation and execution of supplier strategies within the business unit, manage key supplier relationships, and serve as the face of the global procurement organization within the Chillers business unit. This role reports directly to the Director of Procurement – Global Applied Products. This role will also sit on the staff of the VP/GM of global Chillers, and work closely with the VP of Operations for that business. As a Procurement Director - Chillers, the candidate will exhibit excellent communication skills including negotiation, executive interaction and proven leadership skills at Director Level. We would also expect this candidate to have the ability to influence up, down and across the organization. The candidate is able to manage multiple priorities and work at both tactical (hands-on) and on strategic levels. The candidate will bring successful resolution to high-impact, complex and/or cross-functional problems and have a strong attention to detail with the ability to quickly understand Chillers products, technologies, and organizational dynamics. The candidate is customer focused and has excellent interpersonal skills. Additionally, a quick study, ability to recognize opportunities for improvement and engage in activities that will lead to improvements. The candidate is results driven with excellent project and time management skills a must and a demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement. How you will do it * You will demonstrate accountability for functional, business and broad company objectives. Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization. Involved in long-term strategic planning. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas of expertise. * Develop and administer policies and programs for the procurement of direct materials to support global internal customers' requirements. Provide leadership in on-going cost reduction programs and optimal service efforts. * Provide leadership and coordinate leveraging opportunities across multiple global regions. Interact on a periodic, continuing basis with other locations and cross functional teams to implement global sourcing strategies. * Manage Strategic Procurement Buyers in fulfilling purchasing commitments and organize the appropriate program plans and responsible for people management activities including recruiting, performance management, compensation, and organizational structure. * Provide for the evaluation of vendor quotations utilizing appropriate negotiation and purchasing analysis techniques and implementation of proper contracts with emphasis on quality, price, delivery, and service necessary to meet requirements. * Oversee contract development and administration. * Develop and communicate a procurement business plan; establish, communicate and implement long-term goals for the department in order to promote effectiveness and efficiency. * Develop budgets and standard cost for quarterly/annual operating and long range planning. * Develop, present and gain approval for cost forecasting models and techniques for cost reduction as applicable. * Identify and implement process and tool improvements for strategic sourcing, tactical buying and supplier payment. * Mentor, coach and develop direct reports and other team members for future leadership. Develop a culture of empowerment with the team and prepare them for independent and competitive decision makers. * Develop, communicate and administer procurement team performance and development plans and appraisals.
