We recognize and value the healthand sustainability of the individual, the product offering, and the environment.We are currently seeking a full-time Procurement Coordinator for ouroperations in Lindsay, Ontario. Reporting to the Procurement Specialist, the Procurement Coordinator is directly responsible for coordinating the movement of purchased materials fromthesuppliers. The primary focus of this role is purchaseplanning, order fulfillment and system execution. The production requirements of the companywill be reviewed by the Procurement Specialist on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annualbasis. This position includes coordinating production requirements aligned with sales forecasts. The entry of data, report generation and analysis of the data is an ongoingduty. Other tasks include resolving issues pertaining to material defects, invoice discrepanciesas well as delivery timelines.Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Create purchase orders for current and forecasted demands.
Coordinate the movement of purchased materials, through internal and externalresources.
Communicate all delays or variances of inbound freight to the appropriate parties.
Compile data to generate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports to be used forcost-saving initiatives and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Compare invoices against purchase orders, shipping and receiving documents to verifyreceipt of items ordered and billing accuracy.
Contact suppliers regarding errors in receiving, ensuring appropriate compensation.
Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to theorganization and its business partners.
Maintain planning parameters and recommend changes to better utilize ERP systemMS-NAV
Implement process improvement to reduce the number of Supplier non-complianceviolations.
Investigate payment problems while following corporate A/P policies and procedures.
Proactive approach through expediting due and overdue Purchase orders.
Maintain strict control over inventory levels for production in order to meet internal andexternal demand of product.
Monitor supplier non-conformances, ensure timely response to SCARs, track for trends
Operate within an annual budget.
Work closely with R&D &QA regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials.
Work closely with R&D in new product launches and product discontinuations.
Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; make adjustmentsor conduct negotiations as necessary.
Other duties, as assigned.Requirements:A bachelors degree in Business Administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management
1 - 2 years experience with Procurement
Inventory Cycle counting experience.
Knowledge of ERP systems (MS-NAV required).
Possess knowledge of cross border transactions.
Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage financesallocated to the supply of materials while operating within a budget.
Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information.
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, and keybusiness partners.
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
Expert level in MS-Excel
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite, analytic software, and ageneral working knowledge of web-based applications.Working Conditions:Onsite position at Dairy Manufacturing Plant
