As the Procurement Contract Agent under Enterprise Asset Management, you will purchase industrial services, supplies and equipment for the Operations and Maintenance Section of the Facilities Division. This essential work includes receiving and analyzing purchase requests, as well as obtaining, evaluating, and approving bids pursuant to related rules and regulations. What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years of clerical-support experience in a related fields such as general business, accounting, contracts, purchasing, or project administration support.

Qualifications Note: Associates degree or higher will substitute for the experience; A one-year certificate in supply chain, logistics management, procurement, or a related field will substitute for one year of experience.

Desired Attributes:

  • Experience researching and applying state laws, rules, policies, and procedures for procurements, as well as relaying policy information verbally and in writing.

  • Proven ability to use Microsoft Office (MS Word Excel, Access, and Outlook) or similar word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications to include Adobe Acrobat, Standard/Professional, Web browser, and folder and file structure of network.

  • Communication

  • Demonstrated skill communicating information to a diverse audience in a clear and professional manner; Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with vendors, staff, and managers in person, over the telephone, and in writing.
  • Experience procuring in a warehouse environment, which includes purchasing a variety of supplies, equipment and/or materials.

  • Demonstrate an ability to navigate high-pressure, fast-moving, work situations while portraying calmness.
