SummaryDescription of Position

This position is for an initial 6 month term. This individual will be responsible forassisting us with the transition into a new procurement software suite.

Tasks include reviewing open purchase ordersin the current system and taking appropriate steps to bring them into a closedstatus. Reviewing existing vendor masterdata and ensuring each supplier has accurate contact information. Assisting suppliers in registering in a newsupplier portal.

Work with buying teamto set up blanket purchase orders in new system. As well as other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of common office practices, etiquette,procedures, and office equipment are required. Must possess basic math skills focusing on accuracy and be proficient inthe use of a ten key calculator by touch.

Must have good organizational skills and the ability to handle multipletasks simultaneously. Must have stronginterpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectivelywork with all levels of personnel. Must possess intermediate computerskills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word softwareprograms.

Essential Functions

  • This will involve monitoring contracts and trackingspecial terms and conditions as well as handling and categorizing large volumeof data generated by the procurement and inventory process;

  • Developing regular and special data reports, charts andgraphs, and data reduction, bench marking and other statistical analysis;

  • Providingadministrative support to the Purchasing Department. Duties include: (1) preparing spreadsheets summarizing vendoryear-to-date purchase data and pricing obtained from purchasing records,payable records, plant locations, and vendors; (2) Working with Accountspayable and buyers to resolve invoice, purchase order, and invoice-it matchingproblems.

  • Otherduties as assigned.

Education,Experience, Skills Required

Education:

  • High School graduationor its equivalent is required. Currently pursing business degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Someadministrative and general office experience is required. Previous procurement experience is a plus.

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver's license required.
