Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES) is seeking a Procurement Buyer to join the central Procurement Team, with the purpose of achieving competitive advantage through the application of best practices in supply management and driving overall business profitability.

The Procurement Buyer will collaborate with construction project teams, engineering, estimating, legal, insurance and other groups to procure services, materials, and equipment to support successful construction projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Issue RFPs, perform bid evaluations, negotiate prices and contracts to include price, schedule, scope, performance guarantees, specifications, and other legal and commercial terms favorable to RES.

  • Enter Purchase Orders into the Business World accounting system and issue them to suppliers and subcontractors with documentation upon approval.

  • Arrange, track, and expedite the timely delivery of services, materials, and equipment to meet site expectations, holds self and others accountable for meeting milestones.

  • Reports status updates regularly to construction teams and other relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Multi-tasks and able to prioritize project work load and category portfolio for the given fiscal year.

  • Participate in required training and follow safety management system (SMS), quality management system (QMS), and environmental management system (EMS) procedures. Work with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE) group to evaluate subcontractors, implement safe practices, and mitigate safety risks.

  • Learn and actively drive the use of the various software platforms used by Procurement including Business World, SmartBidNet, Sharepoint, Hive World etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Required

  • Price negotiation experience

  • Familiarity with electrical equipment purchasing including switchgear, MV, LV, and DC cable AND/OR familiarity with civil subcontracting including grading, road construction, and foundation construction

  • Good at problem solving and decision-making, including in scenarios where information is uncertain, and timeframes are tight

  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizing capabilities

  • Good communicator (written and verbal) and able to build strong, effective relationships with team members, work colleagues and suppliers

  • High level of competency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Highly desirable

  • Knowledge of contracts and subcontracts

  • Category management experience

  • Knowledge of construction industry and associated field concepts, practices, and procedures, with knowledge of renewable industry an added bonus

  • Project management or project engineering experience in the electrical/civil fields.

  • Knowledge of Lean methodology

  • Knowledge of Solar, Wind, or Substation and Transmission line construction.


  • Bachelor's degree required

  • A minimum 3 years of experience negotiating purchase orders and subcontracts

  • Certification with ISM or CIPS preferred

  • Must have a valid current driver license and be eligible for corporate vehicle insurance coverage.

  • Must be able to obtain a valid current passport to travel outside the U.S.

Reach Your Peak.   Job Summary: This position is primarily responsible for centrally managing all of Vail Resorts’ Marketing teams’ budgets, invoicing, PO generation and receivables, along with other various systems and processes. This position is part of Marketing Operations and the Specialist will provide support to the Process and Program Management teams.   Responsibilities include providing oversight and management of all Marketing department budgets,  driving the appropriate level of accountability across teams for PO generation and receiving, reconciling efforts and financial performance on a monthly basis and process compliance within the respective stakeholder organizations.  The position requires proficiency in managing budgets to a high degree of accuracy, interfacing between multiple departments within Marketing, Finance and Procurement, and process management / improvement.   The Specialist must be incredibly organized, demonstrate the ability to collaborate across a broad team and with leadership, and be able organize multiple workflow streams.  Flexibility and a positive attitude are crucial as this role will be part of a fast paced and dynamic work environment. The Specialist should be highly proficient with Microsoft Office products with a minimum of 2-4 years of Microsoft Excel experience in complex spreadsheets. The Specialist should have good presentation and meeting facilitation skills.   Job Responsibilities: * Manage the financials (actuals/budgets/forecasts) for multiple Marketing departments while working closely with Vail Resorts finance and procurement departments. * Facilitate regular communication and reporting with Marketing and Finance leadership teams. * Ensure appropriate prioritization of business changes and communicate effectively. * Schedule and lead weekly & monthly budget/forecast meetings with teams. * Manage the purchase order process from start to finish for all responsible budgets and ensure correct process for accounting procedures (Prepay, Check Requests, vouchers, etc.) * Manage various other internal processes and systems for the division and hold team members accountable for compliance. * Additional Process/Program Management support activities as needed.   Minimum Qualifications: * Minimum 3 years prior work experience (Finance/admin/accounting roles preferred) * Excellent English language and writing skills. * Excellent bookkeeping and accounting skills. * High degree of organization, attention to details and level of professional conduct.
