Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Supply Chain Planning is looking for a highly motivated individual responsible for managing and coordinating supply/demand imbalances to align supply to program needs. This position is located in Layton, UT.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Creates purchase requisitions from MRP requirements or non-MRP driven requirements in order to pass requirements to procurement in support of required products and services

  • Helps coordinate all schedule change requests with procurement and process all schedule changes in accordance with requirement needs and plans out schedules to minimize shortages

  • Establishes order policies agreed by senior management consistent with part stratification in order to maintain accurate and appropriate inventories for production

  • Utilizes procurement /MRP systems to ensure planning, validation, and maintaining of all requirements for procurement analysis

  • Establishes cross-functional process improvement by working with teams from procurement, production control, engineering, receiving, quality, and supplier management to optimize processes and utilization

  • Deploys, updates, and tracks procurement plan for supply chain integration and procurement analysis

  • Leads efforts to mitigate risk and resolve problems through research of procurement transactions, projects, and tasks with respect to all programs involving high risk and complexity

  • Manages Supply / Demand imbalances to align supply to program needs

Typical Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and typically 3 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship - Post start
  • 1 or more years of experience managing and coordinating supply/demand imbalances
  • 1 or more years of experience with Supply Chain Planning

Desired Qualifications (Preferred skills/experience):

  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related discipline.
