Procurement Analyst

Job Title: Procurement Analyst – Data Analysis Location:

Jackson-MS (Hybrid) Duration: 1 Year plus extensions Job Requisites: Candidates must have experience in procurement, contracts, and purchasing but also knowledge of the guidelines set forth in the Mississippi Code, the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA), and/or the Department of Information Technology Services (ITS). Additionally, procurement staff will support departments in obtaining necessary price quotes in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and will play a crucial role in coordinating the formal bid process by advertising proposals and soliciting bids on various agency projects. In addition to procurement responsibilities, the selected individual will be involved in property management tasks.

This includes assisting in the acquisition, accountability, assignment, maintenance, and disposal of agency property. Successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting the overall efficiency of MSDH's financial operations. Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of contract management Knowledge of procurement and purchasing laws Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-based environment Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software Ability to coordinate and maintain relationships with cross-functional departments to ensure efficient operations.
