What you will do:

Is responsible for assisting PBU buyers in their operational and purchasing activities while ensuring compliance with overall JCI objectives, strategies and procedures. Is responsible for resolving open issues which includes interaction with multiple departments, suppliers, and facilities; participating in special projects; entering and maintaining data in MRP system and prioritizing tasks in a time critical environment. Responsible for reporting to buyers and senior management on activities and production impact, and support of the development of strategies and broader initiatives.

How you will do it:

  • Coordinate and resolve receiving discrepancies (IRRs) to ensure that material can be received into production without delays

  • Create, maintain, and close out annual quantity contracts and schedule agreements as presented by PBU buyers

  • Update internal databases with pricing, lead time, sourcing, minimum order quantity

  • Review and close out invoice discrepancies

  • Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders for special projects

  • Retrieve shipment details from suppliers and assist with receipts of drop shipments

  • Assist PBU buyers in NPI and cost savings initiatives that could include sending out requests for quotes and drawings, creating cost comparison spreadsheets, analyzing quotes, and suggesting preferred suppliers

  • Assist with Price Increase Forms, out of cycle payment requests, and other JCI submittals for approval

  • Take lead on special projects, track progress, and complete as requested

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Ability to gather, relate and summarize information into logical conclusions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal customers and suppliers.

  • Highly motivated individual capable of handling multiple responsibilities and working independently.

  • Demonstrated leadership, organization, planning, administration and team skills.

  • Requires advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use business systems software.

  • Experience with SAP (preferred) or other MRP system.
