This position is responsible for performing master data maintenance and analysis, supplier forecasting, and general data analysis as part of the procurement team.
The procurement data analyst is responsible for:
Maintaining data integrity within various ERP/MRP systems for raw materials
Providing forecasts for suppliers at a SKU and/or supplier level
Performing root cause analysis on delivery failures
Overseeing introduction of new product offerings within the Product Life Cycle Management framework
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in continuous improvement activities to accomplish plant and/or division wide business goals and objectives in terms of safety, quality, customer service, and cost and staff development
Collaborate with teams such as Customer Service, Operations Planning, Finance, Engineering, IT, RD&I, Quality, Logistics, and other manufacturing facilities
Communicate with suppliers regarding product specifications of both new and existing products
Analyze and report inventory levels to plan, recommend and implement corrective action
Develop and implement effective processes for new product offerings/enhancements and ramp-up/ramp-down plans for product changes
Maintaining performance scorecards for existing suppliers
Provide administrative support for cross plant/brand projects
Lead defined, medium-sized projects
Promote safety and ensure a safe work environment and safe employee work habits
Qualifications
Requires a 4 year degree or equivalent experience
4-5 years' experience working within supply chain function, procurement, and/or inventory management
Requires ability to define problems, collect data, analyze data, offer solutions, and implement improvements to achieve the desired results;
Solid understanding of information systems that support supply chain and manufacturing operations
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and databases
Must have demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, analytical and conceptual skills
Demonstrated understanding of information systems that support manufacturing operations within this position's scope
Project management experience preferred
Experience using and teaching lean tools and techniques such as 5S, 5 why, A3 thinking, pull/Kanban systems, and kaizen preferred
