The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for the procurement of direct and indirect financial spend through the implementation of a defined strategy and the management of supplier relationships. Obtains requirements by verifying, preparing, approving, and forwarding purchase orders; verifies receipt of items. Other areas of responsibility include planning and managing inventory levels of raw materials and to determine size of material release. Measure and monitor supplier quality/performance reviews. This position will utilize analytical, forecasting and negotiation skills to procure goods and services on favorable terms. Working with production teams, design and implement supplier and material certification process.

This is a full time salaried position. $55,000 - $60,000 + bonus and company's benefit


  • Verifies purchase requisitions by validating G/L codes and department codes requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives

  • Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items

  • Procures items by approving and forwarding orders to suppliers; monitors and expedites orders

  • Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers

  • Create, populate, and maintain forecasts

  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports to maintain proper inventory levels

  • Analyze and track internal and external KPIs; including savings tracking process

  • Compile and publish reports on procurement activities on daily, weekly, monthly basis

  • Populate and maintain complex databases to provide fact based information for multiple procurement spend areas

  • Discuss defective or unacceptable new goods or services with users, vendors, and others to determine cause of issues and take corrective action

  • Ensure supplier compliance with plant and company environmental and regulatory policies

  • Create and implement suppler quality, materials certification process

  • Travel and train plant personnel in inventory, receiving and ERP procedures

Required Skills


  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant print industry experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory, receiving, finance, and operations

  • Must have competent-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Proven track record of solid analytical and negotiation skills

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information and ideas in a variety of media

Desired Characteristics:

  • AA degree or Bachelor's Degree in related discipline preferred

  • APICS and/or ISM certification is a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP is a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work as part of a team, and execute sound reasoning and judgment

  • Must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and skilled at initiation and follow-up

Summer Program Overview The Summer Analyst program at MUFG has a reputation for providing college students with the opportunity to participate in meaningful projects that contribute to the overall business unit objectives.
