What Happens in Processing Anyway?

• Sort donated items and identify great finds

• Help identify recyclable items. Even if we can't sell it, we can keep it out of the landfill!

• Get those great finds sales floor ready

• Lift up to 50 lbs.

• Load and unload carts to get merchandise out safely and efficiently

• Clean up and reset the processing area at the end of each day

America's Thrift Stores is recruiting Processing Team Members! Our search is focused on people who value teamwork, combined with a great work ethic and a passion for helping people. Successful candidates will utilize time management to execute the flow of products from arrival on the sorting table to placement on the salesfloor as well as prioritizing cleanliness for operational excellence. We are recruiting smiling self-motivators, who are results-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position provides a unique opportunity for those looking to combine their passion for business with a chance to give back to their communities.

Primary Job Duties

• Loading and unloading carts

• Inspecting clothes and other items

• Classifying items based upon manufacturer, quality, and condition levels

• Cleaning and preparing items for the sales floor

• Sorting and pricing products

• Consolidating goods

• Keeping work area neat and clean

• Working safely and efficiently

• Other duties as may be assigned by management

Skills & Qualifications

• High School Degree, GED or equivalent work experiences preferred

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must be able to carry and lift up to 50 lbs. as well as push and pull up to 50 lbs.

• Able to work in a team-oriented environment

• Able to understand and execute company policies and procedures

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong ability to prioritize

• Capable of building and sustaining relationships with peers and management

• Able to accurately keep records and communicate progress to management

• Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple activities at one time

• On the job training provided
