Position Description

Title: Processing Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Shelter - Operations

Location: WI, Wisconsin

Reports To: Channel Operations Executive (National Ops Manager)

Primary Function

The Processing Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of processing, set up and closing of the branch pipeline (processing functions), including personal production as well as the training and supervision of all staff assigned to these processing functions. Additionally this individual is responsible for providing support to the branch sales team, assisting personnel in all areas of the origination processes and ensuring branch compliance with all company and regulatory agency policies and procedures.

Principal Duties

  • Assists in the hiring of new processing personnel

  • Trains, schedules, supervises and reviews processing staff

  • Provides day to day oversight and coordination of all processing employee's to ensure that workflow process goals are met

  • Verifies and validates customer information on the loan application including but not limited to income, assets, property value and ownership against supporting documents provided by the borrower and lender required reports/services

  • Performs all relevant functions at processing stage of loan application and ensure adherence to all regulatory/compliance requirements

  • Manages and provides day to day coordination of operation activities pertaining to loan production

  • Collaborates and communicates with sales staff and other internal/external departments to establish and meet branch performance expectations

  • Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum three (3+) years loan administration experience

  • Minimum one (1+) years team lead or management experience

  • Minimum two (2) year college degree in general area or study

  • Demonstrated leadership ability in a high volume, fast paced/change driven environment

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements

  • Knowledge of industry standards for loans originated under programs from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, VA, FHA

  • Acceptable level of proficiency with various necessary operating, AUS & loan origination systems

  • Knowledge of various Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word & Excel

  • Excellent organizational, motivational, verbal and written communication, time management, prioritization, detail orientation and multi-tasking skills.

  • Ability to operate office equipment at an acceptable level of proficiency
