Process Technician II

Linde Gas & Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Process Technician II to join our team located in Durham, NC. Process Technicians will process gas cylinders to support internal and external business needs. The primary focus of this position is to support the safe operation of equipment within the fill operations of the flammable fill process area.Responsibilities (All shifts)* Keep an Eagle Eye on safety * Conform to all site specific and Linde policy and procedures * Perform a variation of processes related to cylinder preparation, cylinder handling, cylinder filling, and shipping & receiving functions * Prep, and fill flammable cylinders. * Support process functions in adjacent production areas * Perform routine maintenance on equipment. * Quality control data collection * Routinely correspond with internal and external customers with limited supervision * Maintain Safety and Quality focus. * Manage Raw Material inventory. * Submit maintenance requests as needed. * Perform various SAP Transactions to maintain a streamlined stock and sales order flow * Perform tasks associated with stock and sales order realization including cylinder requisition, record recording, data management, record handling * Collect and record basic operations data to ensure process optimization and product quality * Manage raw material and product inventory * Review raw material specifications for conformity * Provide feedback and/or participate on potential HPO projects associated with operational processes * Enter Work Requests into Maximo for required maintenance * Maintain a clean and well-organized work area * Other duties as assignedKey Interfaces * Operations Manager * Production Supervisor * Shipping/Receiving* QC Laboratory * Cylinder Prep * Maintenance SupervisorRequired Key Skills (functional/technical)* Ability to operate and troubleshoot fill equipment. * Experience with data entry or other statistical methods of quality measurement and Measurement Analysis Techniques * Knowledge of Hazardous Materials * Experience with formalized analytical validation programsRequirements*

AS degree in technical field or >2 years work related experience or comparable military experience * Strong computer skills with excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP* Ability to multi-task, working effectively on several projects simultaneously, with limited supervision. * Experience working in a formal quality control environment operating with the guidelines of ISO quality management systems. * Strong organizational skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to establish strong working relations and contribute to building a positive team spiritLinde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2022 sales of $33 billion.
