Analog Devices Federal LLC is looking for an Assembly Process Engineering Technician to support second shift operations by maintaining processes and equipment used in the manufacture of complex microwave and millimeter wave electronics.

This is a hands-on position that requires broad understanding of the equipment and processes. Manufacturing equipment support responsibilities will include set up, maintenance and troubleshooting of tools. Process support includes assisting production with identifying, responding to, and disposition of non-conforming material. The process technician will work with a second shift process engineer to follow project plans, execute material testing and the collection of data for analysis.

Specific processes and equipment include:

Hand assembly

Automated and manual wedge and ball bonding

Bond pull/shear testing and rework

Automated and manual die attach

Die shear/stud pull testing

Epoxy cure ovens

LASER and seam sealing

Environmental (ESS) testing

Plasma and solvent cleaning technologies

The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of electronics construction, with a strong aptitude and interest in working with automated and manual assembly equipment as well as the communication skills required to work with engineering. Expect to train during first shift for several weeks before transitioning to second shift.

Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent, associates degree preferred

  • 3-10 years' experience in electronics manufacturing process & equipment support.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions, interpret equipment manuals and process documentation.

  • General working knowledge of automated processing equipment.

  • Good hand-eye coordination for work under a microscope is necessary

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), Minitab statistical software, and AutoCAD are a plus.

  • U.S. Citizen

  • Willing to apply for a security clearance

  • Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State

Our products solve cutting edge signal processing challenges, often used in extreme environments, and directly impact the safety and security of our end users.</p><p>As an Analog Devices Process Engineer, you will join a team that is responsible for developing and optimizing assembly manufacturing processes and operations to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Process Engineers are responsible for monitoring and controlling component and module process performance; managing tool productivity and maintenance; conducting data analysis to improve processes, developing and implementing statistical process controls, providing sustaining engineering support of unit processes and disposition of material, and managing and driving continuous improvement activities. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong ability to work on a suite of complex automated and manual manufacturing equipment.
