Process Specialist I/II

Your larger team the Technical Services group creates the flavors, shapes and textures often developed in marketing and brought to life through innovative engineering. In your role as a Process Specialist, you will make a key contribution in the area of Wet Product Process technology with secondary emphasis on processing and packaging technologies in dry products and treats manufacturing. Primary responsibilities in this position will include researching, introducing and promoting manufacturing equipment and processes that make our production more efficient and effective. In addition, you will have the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally, direct teams, and manage capital investment projects for multi-production facilities.
Although you'll often work independently to influence our innovation and renovation processes, you'll also interface with leadership and other cross-functional teams to problem solve, maximize value and ensure continuous improvement. We'll count on you to leverage your sharp engineering background and experience with food production to help us develop modern equipment, concepts and techniques that take our products from concept to shelf. This position will require the ability to travel up to 60%.
Develop and promote modern technological processes, concepts and techniques within the equipment systems and related processes
Contribute to the development of New Product processes, and major line extensions within the technical function.
Work closely with the Technical Services group, Procurement, Quality and Packaging regarding value analysis, process validation, equipment and systems, cost reduction and documentation
Manage manufacturing process concerns with regards to lowering costs, optimizing quality, quantity, time and hygienic conditions to ensure continuous improvement
Oversee and manage the implementation of manufacturing strategy and policy in the industrialization of products and processes
Research and introduce manufacturing equipment and processes that allow production of prescribed quality at low costs and that adhere to manufacturing instructions and quality
Provide technical product process assistance to the Nestle Purina as a whole where appropriate
Other duties as assigned.
