Job Description:

  • Provide Quality Assurance support and guidance to product development projects especially projects hosted in US.

  • Use Quality Plans to assist projects in following established processes.

  • Provide extra assistance as each project approaches stage gates.

  • Champion selected process areas and their benefits to the projects and the organization as a whole.

  • Assist in maintenance of Process Descriptions.

  • Identify potential process improvement areas.

  • Identify training requirements and assist in training on processes and tools.

  • Facilitate workshops e.g. in Risk Assessment, Quality Assurance planning, D-FMEA, and Project Evaluation.

  • Moderate reviews.

  • Assist in the development of new processes and tools that will improve the way we develop new products in the future.

Do you know and understand the requirements from both authorities and customers within Safety, Health and Work Environment, including Ergonomics and Chemical Management? Can you develop processes and work with the organization to meet directives and requirements? If yes, then you could be our new EHS Project Specialist in the Danfoss Drives Segment (DDS) and front runner in leading to Environmental compliance and zero safety incidents. To become successful in this job, your achievements will rely on your ability to work independently but also cross-cultural and in teams. You will be reporting to the Director of Global EHS and NAM QEHS. Work Environmental and Safety will be your primary responsibility within the Danfoss Drives EHS Community, supporting all Site EHS managers deploying new requirements and ensure best practice sharing across all our global sites. This includes reviewing, contributing and deployment of Danfoss Corporate EHS Steering Committee – OneEHS – initiatives and programs for EHS at Danfoss. Main objective is zero safety incidents and creating a healthy work environment while ensuring compliance to third party audits. You are also responsible for EHS Compliance (ISO14001/45001), where you must work together with EHS Site Managers and other key stakeholders across Danfoss. As you will be part of a truly global company occasional travel 1-2 weeks / year is required, primarily to DDS main regions Finland, USA, China, Denmark and India. Develop, promote and monitor implementation of strategic programs You excel in driving projects from A to Z and you can ensure communication to external and internal stakeholders on both expert and top management level. It is your responsibility to support the coordination and corporate agreements related to EHS in close dialogue with relevant internal and external partners: Global Service, Group Regulatory, Global Operations, Risk Management, Municipal, Authorities, etc. Furthermore, your key tasks will be to: * Prepare regular reports on EHS to senior managers and committees * Support site EHS leaders to be visible EHS advocates in respective areas of responsibility * Contribute to Danfoss Corporate Committee initiatives * Review, modify and deploy approved EHS policies and procedures that support compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations. (i.e. EPA, OSHA, State EPA, Municipal) * Review, modify and deploy approved Danfoss Group Corporate and Danfoss Drives Segment EHS policies and procedures * Primary contributor to the establishment of one common DDS EHS Management System compliant to third party and authority audits * Develop guidance to management on impact of new regulations and how to meet requirements * Ensure comprehensive change management of all EHS and Site initiatives Final tasks and responsibilities can be tailored according to the chosen candidates experience and potential. Proactive and persistent, and with an eye for detail There is more than one way in to this position, but you need to hold a strong in-depth knowledge of Safety and Environmental best practices and compliance, and you are a certified auditor in ISO 14001:2015 and/or ISO 45001. You hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Law, or an Engineering discipline with EHS concentration or certification. You have 3-5 years total work experience, can be combined EHS and Project Management experience within relevant industry. You have a global mindset, which enables you to work in a global matrix organization. You have the drive that it takes, are eager to challenge and can embrace the ongoing changes that we meet every day. You possess strong interpersonal skills and are known for your ability to communicate. This enables you to build relations and cooperate across cultures and geography. Your project management skills enable you to organize and develop the right processes for the right functions in an effective and structured way.
