Commerce Operations is a rapidly growing team within our Global Operations function. Its mission is to build and deliver operations to provide the integrity, experience, and support for Commerce users across the Facebook Family of Apps.

We're growing this team to develop new operational capabilities to support Facebook's growing Commerce products, and are looking for people with both the passion and ability to build new operational teams, processes and programs which focus on supporting the customer experience. We partner closely with several cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and data science, to ensure high quality and safe experiences for both people and businesses across the Facebook family of apps.

Process Specialist, Commerce Enforcement Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of process design, driving efficiencies, identifying gaps and implementing scalable solutions and improvements. Apply the experience in a fast paced & growing operations environment for developed and new products

Build and maintain workflow processes in response to evolving adversarial behaviors, regulatory/policy changes and product iterations

Investigate & define clear business problems and prioritize solutions using data-driven analytics, developing success metrics to measure project performance and alignment with team mission and goals

Drive internal and external process improvements, consulting with cross-functional teams to understand needs and pain points related to tools support, solve workflow problems, and ensure internal tools and automation systems are fully leveraged

Partner with Data Science, Product, Engineering and Operations teams to establish processes for core workflows at scale

Become the go-to partner for vendor management and scaled operations teams to understand workflow, process, and tooling needs across varied review types, formats, and priorities

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience doing quantitative analysis

Proficient at designing, optimizing and scaling complex and ambiguous processes

Experience manipulating large data sets in SQL or equivalent and drawing actionable insights from data

Experience communicating with a variety of audiences

Critical thinking and problem-solving experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience working in a fast-paced operations environment

Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, Economics or equivalent practical experience

Experience in the business analysis of processes, metrics, workflows, or operations

Experience in at least one scripting language (PHP, Python, Perl), statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS), or data visualization tool (Tableau)

The LER team consists of a dedicated group of specialists who are responsible for responding to law enforcement requests (e.g., subpoenas, search warrants) received from government agencies located in the U.S. and elsewhere. Amazon is seeking a talented individual who can contribute to this critical function as the company continues to grow and scale around the world. Each LER specialist's principal duty is to make sure that requests are processed professionally and expeditiously, all while ensuring the privacy and security of business and customer information in accordance with the law and with Amazon's various policies and procedures. This requires great judgment and experience dealing with challenging and ambiguous situations. Because the LER team is global in scope, LER Specialists must be able to interface effectively with Amazon employees and law enforcement personnel located in other countries. Candidates must be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, and be able to work independently and at times with little supervision. Job Responsibilities: * Evaluate and respond to law enforcement requests in a manner consistent with the privacy and security of business and customer information, in accordance with the law and with Amazon's various policies and procedures * Receive and process emergency law enforcement requests both during and outside of normal business hours, and sometimes overnight * Utilize a combination of manual and automated tools to compile information potentially responsive to a particular law enforcement request * Communicate verbally and in writing with law enforcement personnel, Amazon employees, outside counsel, and others * Assist in the identification of patterns and trends that might be evident from the processing of certain law enforcement requests * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * Written and/or verbal proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Italian or German * Written and verbal fluency in English * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and judgment * Strong analytical and computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Professional Suite, including Excel * Ability to work and to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with high-volume workflows * Excellent ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients and customers * Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues * Excellent organizational skills, and ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once * Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations * Strong common sense and a great sense of humor * Prior experience with making and/or responding to law enforcement requests * Prior experience engaging with law enforcement personnel * SQL database proficiency Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
