The Process Sciences intern will report to a Senior/Principal Scientist. The intern will play a key role in a process development project pertaining to the synthesis and purification of Alnylam's drug substances. The role will involve hands on laboratory work, experimental design, data analysis, and participation in cross-functional meetings.
Learning Objective #1: Perform process development studies on siRNA sequences, including data acquisition and analysis. Present findings at a Process Sciences group meeting.
Learning Objective #2: Become familiar with the process development laboratory environment, and how it is used for scale-up and engineering of the drug manufacturing process.
Learning Objective #3: Develop an understanding of the dynamic nature of working in a cross-functional, collaborative work environment.
You must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Student enrolled in an accredited institution seeking one of the following degrees: B.S.
Laboratory experience organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry
High degree of professionalism, maturity, and confidentiality
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
Position will be located in the Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA) office
