Process Quality Assurance Analyst/Lead

Next Phase Solutions and Services Inc. is hiring a Process Quality Assurance Analyst/Lead who is focused on operational excellence, enjoys troubleshooting complex issues, and is customer-obsessed.

As a ProcessQuality Assurance Analyst/Lead, you will establish and document a tailored strategic quality plan in collaboration with the project manager to perform quality assurance activities for the assigned project or task.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to programs/projects by developing and maintaining documentation and performing process and product evaluations to ensure alignment with client requirements, Next Phase policies and procedures, and industry best practices/standards (ISO, CMMI-DEV, CMMI-SVC, ITIL, PMBoK).
  • Report and present evaluation and audit findings to project management and team members verbally and through the preparation of written reports.
  • Perform root cause/lessons learned analysis and recommend possible approaches to resolve defects/non-compliances.
  • Gather, use, and independently analyze work product/document defect metrics data and present quality-related defect analysis findings to management and team members.
  • Track and escalate unresolved non-compliance issues and corrective and preventative action plans to closure.
  • Support Corporate QA initiatives as appropriate (i.e., CMMI Level 5 assessment, internal/external ISO audits, process asset library maintenance, etc.); may participate as a CMMI appraisal team member.
  • Provide training for CMMI, ISO, and Next Phase processes and project-specific process training.
  • Interface with external and internal customers to ensure project quality.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of overall experience involving implementing organizational and program-specific processes and best practices; process and product evaluations (audits) to ensure compliance with company and project established policies, processes, procedures, and applicable standards (ISO, CMMI-DEV, CMMI-SVC, ITIL, PMBoK); and, implementing ISO 20000 and 27001, ISO 9001, and statistical process control techniques. (Required)
  • Three (3) years of hands-on experience supporting Agile/SCRUM projects through product/deliverable reviews; process development; process improvement initiatives; process auditing and process training. (Required)
  • Hands-on experience as a project quality team member or real-life understanding of software development, support desk, and/or maintenance, and operation type projects (i.e., requirements analysis, testing, software development, help desk staff, etc.). (non-testing) (Required)
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills. (Required)
  • Effective problem solving and identifying and negotiating process improvements at various levels of the organization. (Required)
  • Ability to present quality status to senior management. (Required)
  • Certified CMMI Associate v2.0 (Required)
  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Business Administration. (Required)
  • Experience implementing CMMI 2.0 practices. (Required)
  • Healthcare IT experience. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). (Preferred)

THIS POSITION REQUIRES RESIDENCY IN MARYLAND OR NORTHERN VIRGINIA and is PARTIAL REMOTE 2 DAYS A WEEK. THIS POSITION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A FULL REMOTE SCHEDULE.
