Do you have a keen eye for detail? Do you have the traits of a perfectionist? A local aerospace company is looking for a Process Planner to come on board and be apart of their team!
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
New order entry.
Review new order to assure it is consistent with the quote.
Review all contract requirements (contractual clauses, quality clauses and engineering documents) to assure that these are reflected in job traveler document. Use defined checklist to perform. Perform review with designated time allowance.
Initiate PFMEA risk forms as required.
Review all defined specifications to assure these are current and available in company system.
Maintain specification control files.
Maintain engineering change control documents and update travelers as submitted by authorized personnel.
Contact customer to resolve any discrepancies or missing data found during review process.
Maintain product Revision change control system.
Location: Palmdale
Schedule: Monday through Friday 7am-4:30pm
Pay Rate: @12-$15/Hour (D.O.E.)

Strong attention to detail.
Able to read contracts, specifications and engineering documents.
Understand customer and industry specifications
Good computer skills.
Good understanding of company products and processes.
Good customer service skills.

SUMMARY: The Inventory Planner I is accountable for supporting strong customer relationships through the fulfilment and replenishment of contractual inventory requirements for hardware and chemical products. They will be responsible for taking action on order signals coming from Customer Program system forecast reports/metrics and effectively analyze and manage inventory levels alongside the warehouse and on-site teams to identify trends and pertinent patterns of usage history and forecast. The Inventory Planner I will maintain and report on the achievement of established key performance indicators (such as Inventory Shortages and Exposure) for assigned commodities. At times, to maximize the efficiency of planning tools used, they will participate in Lean improvement events in conjunction with CI (Continuous Improvement) department. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Represent Wesco's vision, values and objectives in all job-related activities, while building and maintaining excellent customer relationships * Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Wesco products, services, quality requirements, customer plans and specifications * Develop a just in time stocking and replenishment plan for customer contracted requirements to attain service level goals and optimize inventory carrying costs * Support the establishment of minimum/maximum inventory levels at customer locations to minimize waste * Interact closely with the customer and Program Management Team to understand production changes and forecasts in order to make appropriate adjustments to customer inventory plans * Interact with Supply Chain, including but not limited to the Purchasing, Procurement, and Material Support Teams, to streamline supply chain, reduce cycle time, and develop a shared understanding for supply chain opportunities and constraints * Actively participate in process improvement efforts to reduce inventory waste and improve throughput * Follow established work procedures to assure compliance with safety and security processes; in addition to alignment with Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies including: OSHA, FAR, EPA, DOT, and RCRA requirements * Attend regularly scheduled customer or company-sponsored meetings and/or training, as required REQUIREMENTS: * Associates Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Inventory Management and/or equivalent experience preferred * 2 years' experience in inventory management preferred * APICS Certification a plus * Experience and working knowledge of Just in Time (JIT) supply process preferred * Experience with process improvement from plan development to implementation * Strong data, analytical and mathematical analysis skills with attention to detail * Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact directly with internal customers * Strong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; Ability to adjust to changing priorities, multiple demands and crises * Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and intermediate to advanced Word and Excel (i.e., spreadsheets, formulas, importing and exporting of files, as applicable) as required * Knowledge of Oracle data systems a plus (JDE, SAP, etc.) This position requires use of information which is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
