The Process Planner ensures that all planning released to production fully complies with all customer requirements and the processes employed are the most efficient, reliable, and profitable methods available to produce a high quality product in the least amount of time.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret customer purchase orders, process specifications, overhaul/repair manuals and blueprints to ensure the company can comply in all respects to customer's requests, and that the company has the necessary prime contractor approvals to perform the requested work.
Create and/or approve written work instructions that are used to process customer's parts in the shop.
Consult and confer with production and quality personnel regarding the resolution of technical questions or challenges. Communicate or consult with customers regarding processing concerns and/or clarification of requirements.
Update and maintain company process procedures, including research and development of process improvement. Perform technical research.
Create and/or approve written rework instructions that will restore the parts to compliance with purchase order requirements. After disposition of rejections of non-conforming parts by the Quality Manager
Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout department and work facility
Perform outside contract reviews.
Personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material. Actively promote safety process and report any safety issues to proper channels for action
Perform other duties as assigned

Able to establish and communicate clear priorities and to influence others to support and act on those priorities
Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and other manufacturing technical data. Must be able to interpret and simplify complex subjects.
Basic math skills (including algebra)
Working knowledge of basic chemistry, electricity
Ability to work in a fast paced work environment
Required Experience and Education:
High School diploma or GED required.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing, metal finishing or engineering in a position that provided an understanding of a manufacturing system structure (planning/production/quality), and manufacturing/processing methods.
