You control the process of turning raw material into finished goods. With attention to safety, you start up and shut down the production line as well as maximize efficiency while it is running. You spend a great deal of time monitoring the control panels and operating loaders at the plant. Occasionally, you need to verify that equipment is properly locked out for repairs and perform some preventative maintenance duties such as lubricating machinery. You may also be needed to help the team clean out our mitigation systems or other processing equipment as part of our weekly cleaning schedule. You feel good about keeping production moving efficiently while ensuring the safety of our plant and our people!MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ENTRY-LEVEL NIGHT OPERATOR*
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. * Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience is preferred. * Mechanical abilities a big plus.Knowledge about manufacturing plant processes and equipment are preferred, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration! At Ecovyst, we are ready for change.</p><p>Job Description and Responsibilities</p><p>Performs manufacturing functions including operation of all manufacturing equipment, in-process quality testing, computer interface operations, cleaning of equipment and plant areas and routing maintenance work.</p><p>Essential Job Functions:</p><ul><li><p>Monitor manufacturing equipment and perform tasks and equipment operations as assigned by plant staff.</p></li><li><p>Operate/control mechanical equipment.</p></li><li><p>Interface with computer-automated systems.</p></li><li><p>Performs material handling responsibilities and monitors quality control.</p></li><li><p>Follow processing instructions (ISO) and targets as written and/or requested.</p></li><li><p>Communicate operations programs in both written and verbal form, including log sheets.</p></li><li><p>Plant cleaning, which includes equipment and basic maintenance.</p></li><li><p>Involvement of/in proposal of plant improvements.</p></li><li><p>Painting and labeling of equipment.</p></li><li><p>Involvement in the proposal of plant improvements.</p></li></ul><p>Requirements</p><p>Requirements:</p><p>High school diploma or equivalent education.</p><p>Chemical industry and/or technical training a plus.</p><p>Ability to conform to shift work.</p><p>Physically capable of performing all job functions.</p><p>Ability to operate manufacturing equipment and perform basic maintenance functions</p><p>Ability to communicate and be a team member, including maintaining mature/professional relationships with fellow employees and plant staff.</p><p>Ability to proactively improve/maintain plant safety standards.</p><p>Experience in a chemical manufacturing facility preferred.</p><br> Ecovyst Inc.
