This individual owns all non-configuration activities during all phases of project work related to direct vendors, direct purchasing activities, including MRP planning in APO and the communication process of schedules to the supplier. This individual is the direct link between consultants (as needed), the business process, and IT teams for their modules and is responsible for all communication, delegation and coordination of activities to the appropriate roles.
Identify and manage mission critical business scenarios and continuous improvement projects in the system environment and validate expected results versus actual results. Determine required project management tools based on size and timeline of the project.
Expand SAP knowledge base and best practices through industry seminars, workshops and user networking.
Work and communicate directly and frequently with the consultant(s)/ CCC's such that the project team can adequately understand and organize non-configuration tasks and responsibilities;
Facilitate immediate responses to questions from the consultant(s)/CCC's regarding configuring business requirements
Coordinate collaboration between module \ process team members as needed
Utilize the management tools of the project including but not limited to: activity planning, change requests, development requests, issue and risk management, authorization approvals and scheduled team meetings.
Plan and coordinate use of consultants and /or CCC's to assist, workshops, etc. as needed. Coordinate with IT PMO.
Plan and execute periodic updates to the business community regarding the status of the project, and the process changes that will occur.
Ensure that human and organizational risks to the implementation are identified and that actions are put in place to minimize them. Coordinated with impacted department(s).
Identify, train and maintain the Key User network for each module.
Provide current support for high priority items, identify process improvements and facilitate open issues resolution.
Represent each module for Bendix on the global template team; secure the end to end effectiveness and correctness of the Template processes through communication to European counterparts and approval of Change Requests.
Support authorization requests through role management.
Support key user request for reporting needs, including determination of correct tool (R3, BW, or other), report specifications, and change request requirements.
Knowledge of SAP
Direct Purchasing, MRP and APO Position Requirements
Minimum of 5 to 7 years SAP Related Experience
Materials Module (MM) experience required
Involvement in previous SAP Implementations
