CTG is seeking to fill a Process Integration Technician opening for our client in Albany, NY.

Location: Albany, NY

Overview:

We are seeking a process integration technician with good communication skills who can work in a highly multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment at our Albany research location. This candidate will be supporting research and development activities, focusing on wafer logistics and wafer management. This individual will track lot movement/process inhibitors and act as a liaison between the process integration and operations teams to help disposition engineering holds. In this role, the candidate will review and act upon engineering holds, review total wafer counts, lot priorities, and drive actions to keep wafers moving throughout the fabrication line.

The selected candidate is expected to work directly with lot owners including process integration engineers, device engineers, unit process engineers, and logistics support individuals in the operations teams, technology assurance organization and various other teams that support operations and research activities in our Albany Research facility. Candidate will support occasional wafer inspections and must be able to understand and follow business protocols for wafer handling, such as wafer drop offs to the fabrication facility as well as wafer pickups and delivery to offline failure analysis labs and storage. Physical durability is required to efficiently work in this cleanroom facility environment.

Duties:

  • Track wafer movement, lot priorities, process inhibitors for research and development program

  • Track progress of key deliverable hardware to ensure desired outcomes

  • Drive lot disposition in a timely manner

  • Identify and drive opportunities for operational and quality improvements

  • Act as a liaison between the process integration, unit process and operations teams to address wafer movement inhibitors

  • Wafer pickups from the cleanroom and drop offs to offline failure analysis labs and storage.

  • Inline wafer inspections

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of semiconductor fabrication process

  • Silicon hardware execution experience (hands-on experience running lots in an advanced semiconductor fab environment a plus)

  • Basic understanding and experience using operation-related manufacturing execution systems (MESs) for creating/manipulating process routes and data collection

  • Ability to work across organizations to drive operational excellence in WIP management

Education:

  • High School, required

  • Associate's Degree, preferred

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
