Scope of Work The City of Midland is seeking a dynamic and experienced Process Improvement Manager to lead and manage the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes across all city departments. Essential Job Duties Design, develop, and manage surveys to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external services. Analyze survey data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for enhancing service delivery.
Collaborate with city departments to understand current processes and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement process improvement strategies that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented process improvements and make adjustments as needed.
Provide training and support to staff on new processes and improvements. Prepare reports and presentations on process improvement initiatives and outcomes for senior city staff and other stakeholders. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Stay up-to-date with best practices and trends in process improvement and public administration. Required Qualifications Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a similarly related field is required. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required.
Proven experience in process improvement, project management, or a related field. Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and survey management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Proficient in using process improvement tools and methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, etc. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Experience in a public sector or municipal government environment is preferred.
