ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support process engineer in the sustaining and process improvement for all Mechanical dicing, Laser dicing processes.

  • First line of defense in resolving operational issues raised by production operators, escalates to engineering if required.

  • First line of defense to bring up a down tool, escalates to maintenance/engineering if needed.

  • Assists with non-standard Mechanical & Laser Dicing walk-in requests.

  • Provides dispositioning and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.

  • Performs Recipe creation and Loading for all Mechanical & Laser Dicing processes.

  • Writes operation/engineering procedures; trains and certifies production operators and junior technicians all processes within Mechanical and Laser Dicing.

  • Trains & ensures operators run SPC and executes OCAP (out of control action plan) if needed.

  • Executes Design of Experiment (DOE) provided by Engineering and provides data summary & report to Engineering.

  • Performs calibration, qualification on tools.

  • Supports Engineering to do root cause analysis/8D on measurement/inspection escapes.

  • Analyzes issues and uses judgment to make decisions.

  • Escalates non-standard problems or issues.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Associate's degree in technical field or equivalent work experience Minimum of 1 years of semiconductor fabrication, assembly, or test industry experience.

  • Must have the ability and comfort to work independently and operate with only general direction and minimal oversight.

  • Must have the ability to prioritize between many different assignments, the flexibility to handle rapidly changing directions, and the confidence to push back against potentially conflicting instructions.

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills are required.

  • Must have the ability to learn new software applications and become proficient quickly.

  • Must be detail-oriented, meticulous, and take pride in delivering high quality results day after day.

  • Demonstrates strong fine motor skills and ability to perform the same manual task repetitively with high quality results.

  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to read, comprehend, and execute complex work instructions.

  • Experience with performing very detailed inspections under a microscope, sometimes for extended periods of time.

  • Intermediate skill with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Familiarity with statistical software tools such as JMP is preferred. Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and experience in its implementation is a plus.

The pay range for this role in Livermore is between $25.80 and $38.70. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
