What you'll be doing...
You will work with Engineering and various team leaders to execute on a wide variety of improvement projects aimed at achieving the business's strategic and financial objectives. You will leverage Project Management, Lean Six Sigma and Design methodologies to identify areas of opportunity, develop solutions and then drive full execution across the business. You may be asked to drive transformation efforts across one or more Verizon business units.
Leading several types of Network and Technology transformation initiatives including Large Scale Project Management, Verizon Lean Six Sigma (VLSS) Process Improvement and Design projects.
Supporting Network Engineering.
Providing leadership on key projects designed to reduce expense to improve operating margins and reorganizing to eliminate redundancy across wireless and wireline.
Leading and facilitating team meetings, cross-functional workshops and VLSS work-outs.
Acting as an effective change agent utilizing proper stakeholder analysis and change management techniques.
Providing management with updates on project status, key metrics, issues, and risks.
Maintaining accurate and thorough project documentation/record keeping.
Supporting others by providing just in time coaching on transformation methodologies and tools.
Being a liaison between business units on projects that have a multi-organization or business unit scope.
What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
A degree in engineering, business or technical discipline.
Four or more years of Network or Engineering experience.
Agile Project Management and VLSS or Lean Six Sigma certification.
Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.
Proven record for managing multiple simultaneous projects on time and budget.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills.
Experience creating and presenting presentations to all levels of an organization.
Focus on process and the customer experience.
Proven record of performance and credibility.
Experience as a team leader with proven facilitation, change management, and problem solving experience.
Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking that results in new ideas that drive the business forward.
Track record of handling extremely confidential information appropriately.
