Description
As the Process Engineering Manager for LightForce Orthodontics, you will be an active member of a fast-growing startup at the forefront of digital manufacturing. You'll lead a team of Process Engineers to drive innovation and process improvement. You'll collaborate with the Hardware and Manufacturing teams to build upon the success of bringing industry first customized ceramic brackets to the market. You will implement new manufacturing capabilities and scale our existing processes, while always maintaining focus on safety, quality, and reliability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and directly manage a team of 6-10 Process Engineers.
Conduct hiring, development, and performance management of the team.
Identify key priorities and results to drive execution of the function.
Contribute to and potentially be responsible for delivery of company level KPIs.
Optimize the team to execute projects while analyzing the ease of implementation and financial benefit of the change.
Collaborate with the Hardware team to validate the manufacturability of new products in the existing manufacturing process.
Collaborate with the manufacturing and maintenance teams to optimize the efficiency and safety of equipment.
Lead the effort to introduce automation and Industry 4.0 technologies into the manufacturing environment.
Strengthen an environment of teamwork, inclusiveness, and excellence.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences
3+ years of people management or similar experience performing management tasks
Previous experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment
